Kourtney Kardashian, 44, has officially changed her name to "Kourtney Kardashian Barker" on her driver's license following her wedding to Travis Barker in May 2022. She announced the change on Instagram, sharing a photo of the updated license.

Kourtney also explained via her IG stories that it is traditional for the bride to take the husband's last name while keeping her maiden name as her middle name.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the 44-year-old celebrity revealed that she has officially modified her driver's license to reflect her married name—Kourtney Kardashian Barker. This significant alteration comes over a year after her momentous wedding to Travis Barker in May 2022.

With excitement, Kourtney wrote "Say my name" in the caption for the snapshot of her newly updated license, showcasing a striking black and white headshot and proudly displaying her complete married name underneath.

The "The Kardashians" star took a moment to address inquiries from curious followers regarding her decision to incorporate her "maiden name" as a middle name through an Instagram story post.

Accompanied by a screenshot of text sourced from the wedding website The Knot (per People magazine), Kourtney shared a compelling caption, saying, "In case you didn't know..." The screenshot itself provided a concise description of her name change rationale.

The text reads, "It's long been a tradition for the bride to take the husband's last name, and traditionally, she drops her middle name and keeps her last (her "maiden" name) as her middle name. Her husband's last name then becomes her new last name."

Kourtney has been making headlines as she recently shared a captivating series of maternity photos featuring herself and her spouse, Travis. On the post, fans were quick to notice a playful comment from the talented musician.

In the comment section, Travis playfully hinted, "I already know his name," with a wink emoji, leaving followers excited. While this marks the couple's first child together, they both have prior parenting experience from previous relationships. Kourtney is a devoted mother of three kids whom she shares with her former partner Scott Disick. On the other hand, Travis also has three children with his ex, Shanna Moakler.
