Jada Pinkett Smith is putting the hearts of her viewers to rest following her assurance over the return of her widely watched show, "Red Table Talk."

The actress, who serves as the host, with her daughter Willow Smith and her mother Adrienne, acting as co-hosts on the American talk show, has kept fans entertained on a wide variety of topics, including the infamous Oscars slap that set the internet on fire in 2022.

Unfortunately, the show, which has witnessed and addressed several monumental moments, stopped production in April after Facebook Watch's parent company Meta shut down the platform and its original programming.

Jada Pinkett Smith Declares Fate Of 'Red Table Talk'

The "Girls Trip" actress gave fans a rundown of what they are to expect from her production team over the future of her talk show, which premiered in May 2018. Remaining optimistic about the comeback of the show, she revealed, "We've had a couple platforms reach out to us. And we have some interesting avenues that we're looking at now. You know me, I'm always looking for the next innovative thing."

She teased fans, "Actually, there's one idea that we have in mind that I'm kind of excited about that will probably be happening, maybe, close to the release of the book. We've got some really interesting stuff happening with RTT. I'm excited about that journey as well."

Regarding her highly anticipated forthcoming memoir, the actress added, "So many people feel because of my talk show Red Table Talk that they know my journey. And they really don't. There's been so much about my journey that I haven't really been able to share on a format like RTT."

In her words, the book, which is coming out on October 17, will cover "everything." "I think people have made a lot of assumptions. And you know what? Rightfully so. I have to take ownership of that, in regards to the narrative that I've participated in, the falsehoods about myself," she further stated.

Concluding on an assertive note, she remarked, "In the book, I really explain all of that extensively as part of my reclamation journey. I think a lot of people, not even just women, but a lot of us lose ourselves in narratives that are not necessarily or completely forthright."

The cancellation of the show came amid Facebook Watch streamlining its production to focus on "creating VR experiences in Meta Horizon Worlds" while terminating all its original shows on the platform.

The Blast shared that following the parents' company's decision, many of its staff, approximately 20,000, were laid off, including Mina Lefevre, who headed the Development and Programming at Meta as well as the EVP and Head of Scripted at MTV.

The shutting down of the original programming series was set in motion regardless of the various series Lefevre oversaw, including the Elizabeth Olsen-led "Sorry For Your Loss" and "Sacred Lies." In addition, it was gathered that none of the remaining FB Watch Originals would be returning for new seasons, most especially the ''Red Table Talk."

While the company branches out to an entirely new focus, FB Watch remains a video player for the new VR content, with members of Lefevre's team, including Thomas Stockwell, staying on "to work on original programming with an emphasis on VR-first shows." Interestingly, the "Red Table Talk" with its spinoff, "Red Table Talk: The Estefans," was the last remaining FB Watch original to have completed its original order.

Nick Cannon Expressed His Delight Over The Cancellation Of 'Red Table Talk' Show

While the actress's fans conveyed their distress over the unhappy development, actor Nick Cannon, on the other hand, seemed to have loved the news.

The dad of twelve gave his brutally honest opinion after hearing the information during his radio show, "The Daily Cannon." Describing the situation as "good" he noted that the Oscars drama that occurred between Rock and Will would not have happened if Will had never participated in his wife's show.

He said, "If there were no Red Table Talk, then he wouldn't have slapped the sh*t out of Chris Rock." Questioning the rapper, his baby mama Abby De La Rosa, inquired whether the actress's talk show deserved to be nullified because of what happened at the 94th Academy Awards.

Giving his reply, Cannon reiterated his dislike for the show, saying, "I'm talking about that toxic table." Still condemning the talk show, he added, "Too much honesty can get your a** slapped in the face! We've seen this."
