Nicki Minaj Defends Murder Suspect After Protecting His Mom Goes Wrong

Nicki Minaj is taking a stance against the abuse of a woman and her son who got involved to protect his mom.

Recently a story has gone viral about a 14-year-old boy who shot a man repeatedly punching his mom in the face in public. "On June 18 of this year, my life changed; my son's life changed," Hood said. "Never in a million years would I have imagined being brutally attacked, beaten, and then arrested," said the victim Carlishia Hood, in a press conference after her release.

Hood claims she was arguing with a man in a lineup, now identified as Jeremy Brown. He then began punching Hood; the attack was caught on cell phone cameras. Her son pulled his gun out and fired at Brown, hitting him in the back.

Brown fled, as did the mother and son, but the son kept shooting as they ran. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

The rapper took to the gram to support the young mother and her son. "No one else in the establishment did anything. And so, once he saw his mother get severely hit, he took action," said activist Ja'Mal Green.

Nicki was triggered that no one helped. "That 14-year-old boy that backed dat hammer out when that grown ass man was punching his mother in the face as if she were a MAN; is a true hero, wrote the "Roman" rapper.

Nicki is raising her own son and feels close to what happened. She offered to help in any way that she could. "If he wants to attend college, I'd love to help. It's what ANY son should've done for their MOTHER."

She ended her message. "She raised a dope kid & should be so proud. Also, God knew b4 she knew; that she'd be attacked that day & made sure they had protection on

DECK. God is GOOD."

The mom of one is likely going so hard for the young man because she is the mother of one as well. It hits home for the "Bottoms Up" rapper who shares this son with her husband, Kenneth Petty. Nicki has also had a runaround with the law as Hood did.

She has been fighting for her husband's charges to be dropped regarding an incident that took place over a decade ago. Her husband now has to register as a sex offender and has repeatedly denied that he sexually assaulted the woman in question.

The rapper also dropped a new song with Young Thug and Juice WRLD, where the lyrics fit what she was advocating for. "Now I keep a S on my chest, baby. I saved the world in a dress, baby," she writes, sharing some of the lyrics of the new song.

She also shared with fans that the track was produced a while and felt that this was the perfect time to drop it.
