The Blast recently covered Rodrigo's intriguing Instagram post which fans thought could include a teaser for her sophomore LP; her first album "sour" was released in the spring of 2021, following the viral success of its first single "Driver's License."

The buzz surrounding Rodrigo's new music was elevated by a recent mysterious countdown on the "brutal" singer's website; the countdown featured a countdown for Friday, June 30th, and the clock is ticking closer to the cryptic event!

Two years after the release of "sour," which earned her seven Grammy nominations and three statues, Rodrigo took to her Instagram on Monday to announce her second album!

Rodrigo can be seen wearing rings on her fingers that spell out the title of the record in the photo. She writes, "my sophomore album GUTS comes out september 8th. i am so proud of this record and I can’t wait to share it with you all! u can presave it now! xoxoxoxo❤️???," in its caption!

The "deja vu" singer shared a reel featuring behind-the-scenes footage of the single's music video. The first single from "ghosts" will be called "vampire!" Fans can hear a snippet of the song's audio in the reel!

Rodrigo, who had been spotted taking classes at USC, wrote in the post's caption, "so excited for Friday!!! here’s a first look with @YouTube Shorts ??? #vampireOR2" Rodrigo can be seen channeling some "Twilight" vibes as she lays in the grass, wearing an outfit that screams 'vampire aesthetic!'
