Kelsea Ballerini is not ashamed of being a lover girl!
A recent stop during the singer-songwriter's ongoing tour featured a special cameo from her beau, Chase Stokes, who assisted her in acting out the lyrics of one of her recent breakup songs. Ballerini, whose relationship with the "Stranger Things" star first caught the public's attention during the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship in Los Angeles in January, looked content as she shared a hot smooch with him at the show.
Kelsea Ballerini Locked Lips With Chase Stokes During A Recent Concert Performance
Ballerini was anything but sad when she performed her famous breakup single, "Penthouse," which hints at the home she and her ex-husband Morgan Evans shared before their August 2022 split during her ongoing Heartfirst Tour recently. The moment came during a pause in her performance, where she stood facing the crowd for a few seconds.
She then grinned sheepishly, turned, and sprinted to the side of the stage where an unsuspecting Stokes was enjoying the show. The "half of my hometown" singer barely allowed him to take in the moment before grabbing him and planting a kiss for the books on his mouth.
The unexpected occurrence earned accolades from the audience as they screamed and applauded. As quickly as the smooch started, it ended, and Ballerini ran back to the center of the stage to belt out the song's next lyric gleefully, "I kissed someone new last night," while pointing towards her partner.
She continued singing out the lyrics from the song's "healed version," which she created during one of her sets last month, to the delight of concertgoers. The beloved songstress updated the original lyrics from "But now I don't know where you're sleeping, baby" to "And now I don't care where you're sleeping, baby."
Online viewers also saw Ballerini's kiss with the Netflix star thanks to an attendee posting a reel of the smooch on TikTok. The video received many comments, with one fan claiming that Stokes was "fixing a heart he didn't break" and another exclaiming, "Those 2 better get married !!"
"The amount of shows he attends makes my heart swell so big for her, she deserves this," a third person declared, and a fourth noted, "The energy she had after that moment is everything!"
Meanwhile, the country-pop star and her beau's love has been progressing, with them making their red carpet debut during this year's CMT Music Awards, held in April. As reported by The Blast, the 29-year-old had bragged about having a "scorching date" for the night, barely containing her excitement about her and Stokes' first public appearance as lovebirds.
After disclosing that she was looking forward to introducing the "Outer Banks" actor to her world, she added, "I don't know if it's the big moments on TV or where I am in my life or what it is, but I feel really good. I'm happy to be here, and the show is amazing."
The 'Half Of My Hometown' Singer Took Her Man To Her Hometown In May
The lovebirds upgraded their relationship when they visited Ballerini's hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, late last month. The Black River Entertainment signee documented the milestone trip on her Instagram Stories, beginning with a selfie of her and her man.
In the image, the 30-year-old actor donned a white shirt, blue jeans, a baseball cap, and dark sunglasses and flashed the peace sign high up in the air behind his partner, who wore a small smile and sunglasses. Across the sweet snap, the iHeartRadio Music Award recipient quipped, "don't say it don't say it don't say it, BRINGITONHOMEJOHNB," which was a reference to her lover's "Outer Banks" character.
Ballerini followed up with a picture that showcased her standing akimbo as she overlooked the Bobcats' football field. The environment seemingly evoked a deep reaction for the Radio Disney Music Award winner, as she wrote "Go bobcats" alongside red and black heart emojis in the accompanying write-up.
She finished her walk down memory lane with a photo highlighting a Litton's Market Restaurant & Bakery menu. The "Love Me Like You Mean It" hitmaker penned across it, "a heart filled 24 hours at home."
Besides spending quality time together in places that hold meaning for his girlfriend, Stokes has become a familiar face to the public, often showing up at certain events to support her. He had previously joined Ballerini in March when she performed as a musical guest on "Saturday Night Live."
