Cameron Diaz Has Not Been In Contact With Jamie Foxx
According to the Daily Mail, Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx, longtime friends, and co-stars, have not spoken following Foxx's mysterious hospitalization in April. Their joint film, "Back In Action," which already faced numerous complications, now hangs in uncertainty, leaving Cameron in the dark about its future.
A source close to the 50-year-old actress revealed to the news outlet that Diaz has had no contact with Foxx and remains unaware of any developments beyond "what she hears." It is worth noting that the duo were shooting scenes together just days before Foxx's hospitalization.
Although Diaz has successfully concluded filming for her comeback movie, recent events have cast doubt on her total return to the acting world. The insider said, "Cameron has not signed on for another film and is not taking any new scripts."
"Honestly, she is not sure what is going on with 'Back In Action' and isn't very proud of it, considering there was so much drama even before Jamie was hospitalized," the insider added.
They Reportedly Have Unresolved Quarrels
Per the Daily Mail, Diaz found herself on the brink of quitting acting for the second time when a string of problems emerged during the production of her "come back" project "Back In Action." These ongoing issues affected the film and strained Diaz and Jamie Foxx's relationship, leading to heated arguments on the set.
Regrettably, their disagreements remained unresolved before the "Django Unchained" actor's sudden hospitalization, and according to the insider for the news outlet, Diaz is burdened with an overwhelming sense of "guilt about their quarrels since she has not been able to make amends."
While filming for "Back In Action" has concluded, the aftermath of the production has encountered significant setbacks during the post-production phase, further adding to the project's uncertainty. According to Daily Mail, even Diaz herself is unsure about the fate of the Netflix-funded movie.
Jamie Foxx Was Sick With A Mysterious Illness
On April 11, Foxx experienced a "medical complication," revealed by his daughter, Corinne Foxx, on Instagram. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery," she wrote. "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."
However, specific details surrounding Foxx's condition remained undisclosed. For nearly a month, the actor's hospitalization remained shrouded in secrecy.
Finally, breaking his silence on May 3, the "Ray" actor took to Instagram to express his appreciation for the love and support he had received. "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed," Foxx wrote in the post. He included prayer hand emoji, a red heart, and a fox emoji.
According to a source cited by People magazine on May 5, Foxx was still under hospital care but was "stable and not in a life-threatening situation."
"[Doctors] are doing more tests and want to be completely sure that he will be OK before allowing him to" go home, the source told the news outlet.
Jamie Foxx Is 'Recovering Well'
On May 15, TMZ reported that Foxx's relatives were spotted leaving a prominent medical facility in Chicago. Known for its specialized physical rehabilitation programs, the facility offers comprehensive care for various conditions such as stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab, and cancer rehabilitation.
At the time, Foxx's family, including his daughters Corinne and Anelise, and Anelise's mother, Kristin Grannis, were present in Chicago to support him during his treatment and recovery.
Although Jamie's medical situation and the reasons for his stay at the rehab facility remain undisclosed, a source close to the actor told the news outlet that Foxx is "recovering well." The Academy Award winner initially received treatment at an Atlanta hospital before transferring to the Chicago facility at the end of April.
