'DWTS' Star Peta Murgatroyd Unveils Newborn's Name And Birthdate

Peta Murgatroyd & Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the latest parents in town, are introducing their bouncing baby boy to the world, and fans are completely infatuated.

So far, the "Dancing With the Stars" pros— and parents of 6-year-old Shai Aleksander— have embraced the bliss of welcoming their second child into their lives just in time for Father's Day. The couple is ready to reveal their son, born Sunday, June 18, to the public by sharing his name and first photo.

Days after Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy's second son made an entrance into their family on cue, the parents of two found the perfect name for him, and they couldn't wait to share it.

On June 21, in a joint Instagram post, the new mom of two gushed in the caption, "💙Rio John Chmerkovskiy💙," and shared that Rio weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces at birth and is "thriving!"

Mentioning the couple's older son, she added, "We are overjoyed to share our baby boy with all of you. @shai.aleksander is already the best big brother, and we all feel complete[sad eyes emoji.] Life is good, XO."

In the adorable snapshot that followed, the tiny tot slumbered peacefully in a stylish tan outfit with a matching beanie and pacifier. He was laid beside a wooden fixture bearing his name. Moments after posting, the lovebirds' fans and celebrities, who were just as excited as them, flooded it with the sweetest congratulatory comments.

Cynthia Bailey and Nikki Garcia reacted with lovely emojis. Chmerkovskiy's sister-in-law, Jenna Johnson, gushed, "You are so loved, Rio!!! We've been waiting for you 🩵 🩵." Jana Kramer replied, "OBSESSED. And I LOVE the name. I won't steal it, but damn, that's a good one! Hahah. So precious."

One fan, already thinking ahead, penned, "Rio and Rome, we need a picture of them together now," while another wrote, "Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy!! Welcome to the world, Rio! The couple, who first broke the news they were expecting again in January, had allowed fans to join their extraordinary journey immediately after they delivered Rio. The Blast reported that Maksim shared his excitement about his son's delivery on Instagram.

The Latin ballroom dance champion shared the baby's first photo, with his face blurred. Accompanied by Etta James' song, "At Last," the post displayed him affectionately holding and staring at his infant son wrapped in a pastel blue blanket. 

The doting father of two donned a white polo shirt while his black hair spiked around. In the caption of the upload, which came in celebration of Father's Day, the Ukrainian-American wrote, "Happy Father's Day to me! #MadeInPeta."

In the comments section, Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd received love from some famous friends, including Emma Slater, who penned, "OMG YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!! On Father's Day!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," and Sharna Burgess, who replied, "How perfect ♥️ ♥️."

Afterward, the "DWTS" contestant shared a clip to his Insta Story that showed Peta lying in a hospital bed, ready to welcome their precious bundle of joy. The video began with him saying, "Hola Everybody," and turned to his heavily pregnant wife, wiggling her hands and singing, "We are having a baby.

Then the "Faith, Hope & Love" actress divulged that she could barely walk or talk after she went into labor, causing her to be rushed to the hospital.

Before her son's delivery, the "Burn the Floor" star showcased her pregnancy shine in a captivating series of black-and-white snaps on Instagram and used the moment to cherish the remaining precious moments with their son, Shai.

The 36-year-old shared a carousel of photos that radiated her beauty and elegance. The Broadway dancer, exuding confidence, posed in a long-sleeve black leotard and striking metallic knee-high boots. In them, her hair was styled in loose beach waves and accentuated by a tiny braid. With excitement, Murgatroyd wrote in the caption:

"Soaking in these last few days with little man. Finding every opportunity to be super present with Shai and spend as much one on one time with him. Focusing on my inner thoughts and releasing the negative. Realizing I have what I wished for ✨."

The entrepreneur included a touching message to her forthcoming baby, "Baby boy, you have no idea how much I've wanted you. We are all ready for your arrival 💙."
