Dalkin realized in college that cooking was something she had a passion for.

"I was on the women's tennis team. We played D1 college tennis at St. Mary's up in the Bay Area. And every night before tennis matches, I would cook this like elaborate feast, it wasn't elaborate, it was chicken parm, but it felt elaborate as a 19-year-old," she told The Blast exclusively.

"I just discovered that I loved feeding people and bringing people together over food was everything to me. It totally filled my cup. At the time, I was pre-med in college and then I switched to business and then after I graduated college I went straight to culinary school and never left the food industry."

The bestselling author explained that growing up, she was quite the picky eater.

Dalkin, along with Pelosi, who's also known to many as "GrossyPelosi," have joined forces with Tillamook to bring a tasty burger to Hudson Yards in New York City next week. For Dalkin, teaming up with Pelosi is "next level insane" since the two chefs met online and formed a great friendship.

"Dan and I met a handful of years ago online and became internet besties so the fact that we get to do an event together with Tillamook is next level insane," she told The Blast.

"We're gonna be making these double cheddar bacon burgers. We're turning them into sliders because obviously feeding everyone that comes in a whole giant burger would be an aggressive amount of cooking for us."

The two popular chefs will be doing a live demo of the recipe and teaching everyone who attends how to stuff the Tillamook singles into the beef, make caramelized onions and guacamole.

Everyone who attends the event will get to try a slider with all that deliciousness to help inspire them to make their own to wow their friends and family this summer.

Don't eat beef but want to use this recipe? No problem! Dalkin offers great substitutions.

"You could just take those Tillamook slices and turn them into a grilled cheese and be equally as happy. It's the same. Literally change nothing," she said. "Just use ground turkey instead of ground beef. Do the ground dark turkey so you still have the fat."

Both Pelosi and Dalkin's Instagram pages offer a little explanation into the partnership with Tillamook and the recipe for the amazing burger in a video.

Dalkin's fifth cookbook is going to be all about grilling. She's halfway through shooting it and it will be released next summer. So, bring on the yummy summertime favorites!

"This next cookbook comes out next summer and it's all about grilling. I feel so often all of my girlfriends are very intimidated by the grill. A lot of the grilling books that are already on the market are like whole hog and big, big format meat, which is incredible, and don't get me wrong, I would love to do that in my backyard, but that's not an everyday kind of thing," she told The Blast.

"An everyday thing to me is an amazing cheese turkey burger, or some amazing grilled chicken sandwich, or something like that. So, I'm really trying to make grilling accessible for everyone and bring easy every night, every day recipes to the masses."

One of Dalkin's favorite recipes in the new book is a smashed butter burger with sliced cheese.

"It is a stick of butter grated into ground beef, thin, thin patties with griddled onions, and then you do a layer of slice of cheese on top, another patty, another slice of cheese," she said. "It's like the thinnest patties known to man."

In addition to the new cookbook, Dalkin is gearing up to relaunch all of her seasonings under her own company.

"It should launch sometime this fall. We're just in finalizing design meetings right now. I really want this new place online to be your one stop shop for your pantry ingredients," she exclusively told The Blast.

"I want to relaunch all my seasonings. I want this to be your go-to place for incredible salts and peppers and olive oils and vinegars."

As for summer entertaining tips, Dalkin shared that the key to summer entertaining to toe keep it simple.
