Kim Kardashian Reveals Reason For Taking Down Daughter's TikTok Video With Ice Spice

Kim Kardashian is candidly discussing the challenges of parenting.

Being a mother comes with its own set of challenges; for the Kardashian women, those challenges are amplified under the scrutiny of the public eye. In a surprising revelation, the star acknowledged that her estranged husband, Kanye West, might have been correct in one particular instance regarding their daughter North's presence on TikTok. 

Recently, an encounter between rap star Ice Spice and her daughter resulted in the artist's appearance in a Skims campaign but also sparked a public complaint from the 10-year-old's father.

As their children grow older, the reality TV star told Time Magazine that integrating them into the family's influential empire is a delicate balancing act, filled with "trial and error."

After viewing a video of the youngster rapping along with explicit lyrics, the actress stated, "As soon as I saw the words, I was like, 'Oh no, we're taking this down.'" Despite her actions, the star recognizing the importance of platforms like TikTok for her children's creative expression explained:

"I saw on the internet, [people saying] 'Kanye was right,' and maybe he was in that instance. But she loves making slime videos and doing her little hair tutorials, and I will fight for her to be creative."

In a throwback to March, North, a devoted Ice Spice fan, delighted her followers by dressing up as the rapper and passionately lip-syncing a portion of "Boy's a Liar, Pt. 2," a collaboration between the artist and PinkPantheress. 

However, the video received significant backlash, with critics questioning the suitability of the lyrics the young child was mouthing. This controversy reignited discussions about a podcast interview from 2022 in which West expressed his disapproval of his daughter's participation on the popular app.

Later, "The Kardashians" star admitted, "I think it's always tough when you're co-parenting, and someone wants something, and someone doesn't. I think that's the trial and error sometimes." 

She then stated further, "It's always a compromise. No one's always gonna agree, and you just have to do the best as you can as a parent to try to protect your kids, but also let them be creative."

After the budding star captivated the internet by showcasing her remarkable talent and unveiling her finished artwork of the esteemed New York rapper, the adorable display of admiration made it clear that North truly loved the red-headed beauty. To confirm it, Kim delighted her millions of followers by announcing it via a social media upload. 

In a touching Insta Story clip, the "KKW Fragrance" captured a precious moment with her son, Psalm. The heartwarming video showcased the "Ocean's 8" guest star and the three-year-old sharing a tender embrace, with the little one seated on his mother's lap. 

He sported an adorable mustard-colored sweater adorned with multiple Batman designs, adding a playful touch to the scene. While making amusing faces and gestures for the camera, the 42-year-old dressed in a stylish pink blazer perfectly showered him with kisses and affection, referring to him as her "little baby." 

Encouraging him to strike a pose with a peace sign, she lovingly ran her fingers through his voluminous curly hair. However, their intimate interaction took an amusing turn when her mini-me interrupted the tender scene by handing her a phone, revealing an unexpected FaceTime call with actress Lala Anthony. 

Juggling the phone and the video update, the beauty mogul playfully remarked, "When my daughter is face-timing my best friend as I try to do a video." Curiosity piqued, the "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor" actress could not resist asking, "What are you guys talking about?" to which Lala responded, "We're talking about Ice Spice." 

With a mix of amusement and affection, the doting mother openly admitted, "Ice Spice, that's all North cares about." The "Princess Diana" artist took notice of a portrait created by North, showing her appreciation for the budding artist's talent. 

The media personality expressed her surprise at her abilities, referring to the little social media influencer as "really talented," exclaiming, "That was so cute. Shoutout to Northie. I love her." Ice Spice acknowledged North's presence on TikTok, adding, "I see her TikToks all the time. She's great. I love her."
