Morgan Wallen's Ex KT Smith, Reveals Plans For Her Dog Legend
In a heartfelt series of videos shared on her social media platform, Smith revealed the story of her beloved rescue dog, Legend, a Great Pyrenees, whom she adopted in April 2022. The influencer expressed that their connection was profound, emphasizing that she and the dog "saved each other" during a challenging time.
Following the unfortunate incident involving her son, Smith addressed the difficult decision regarding Legend's future. Explaining, she shared, per Page Six, "Since then, we have been looking for options, and I just couldn't bring myself to what everyone else says and what you're supposed to do, apparently — what the world tells you to do — is to put the dog down because they are aggressive."
However, she firmly believes that Legend does not deserve to be euthanized "because he is wonderful and could do great with a family who doesn't have small children."
KT Smith, Doesn't Want Her Dog 'To Go To A Kill Shelter'
Recognizing the situation's urgency, Smith shared her struggles finding a suitable solution, adding, "I know I don't want him to go to a kill shelter … and shelters are full."
Furthermore, she acknowledged that she had to make the difficult decision to part ways with Legend, as keeping him in her own home was no longer a viable option. In her emotional statement, she stressed, "This will be all over the place, and I'll also start by saying I never wanted to bring this to social media, but he deserves better. I'm getting Indigo back home tomorrow, and he has to be gone by then."
Smith also clarified that she does not intend to muzzle her dog in response to the incident. She believed putting a muzzle on him would hinder her ability to be a responsible and caring dog owner, stating, "I can't be a good dog mom to him [if I'm] keeping a muzzle on him or a good mom in general. Having a kid just really scared of him in the home."
She further clarified that her dog, Legend, "is not aggressive towards adults at all." "You can get in his face, and you can do anything, and he's still such a good dog," she emphasized.
KT Smith Found Her Dog An Adoptive Family
Smith clarified to her followers that her primary concern lies with her child's well-being and providing a loving home for her dog, Legend, that he truly deserves. "I don't care about the hate that I get from this. I care more about my kid and giving (Legend) a home he deserves," she explained.
Smith shared that she carefully considered her options, considering her responsibilities as a mother and a dog owner. Ultimately, she concluded that the best course of action for Legend's happiness and safety was to find him a child-free home where he could thrive and live a fulfilling life.
Late on Monday, Smith shared the heartwarming news that Legend had found an adoptive family. "We just dropped Legend off with the sweetest family where he will be living out his full potential and best life on a farm," she revealed. "I couldn't have asked for a better family for him to be loved on by, and they're East Tennesseeans, so we can visit any time we need to."
