Amanda Bynes Has Reportedly Been Placed On Psychiatric Hold AGAIN

Actress Amanda Bynes has reportedly been placed on a psychiatric hold again after her previous psychotic break in March. She's reportedly being considered a danger to herself and others.

The former child star recently made headlines for calling 9-1-1 on herself and flagging down a cab after walking the streets of LA completely naked.

According to a report by TMZ, Bynes has been placed on a psychiatric hold again. LAPD officers had detained the actress on Saturday morning after they received a distress call from a woman who has now been confirmed to have been Bynes herself.

Following her arrest, Bynes was taken to a police station where a medical team was already waiting to give her a mental health evaluation.

Now, the former child star is reportedly being placed on a psychiatric hold as she is a danger to herself and others.

The actress sent social media into a frenzy in March after it was revealed that she was found naked on the streets of LA. Bynes had reportedly called 9-1-1 on herself and flagged down a cab that took her to the nearest police station.

As reported by The Blast, the actress had told the cab driver that she was coming down from a psychotic episode. On getting to the police station, a mental health team concluded that Bynes needed to be placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

Despite the very vulnerable state she was in, Bynes was luckily unhurt.

Sources for The Blast at the time she was hospitalized in March shared that Bynes lost a considerable amount of weight and abused drugs. They said the actress had undergone a "startling and dramatic weight loss over the last few months." They also added that the star at the time weighed less than 100 pounds.

Although our sources did not specify the drugs the actress was abusing, Bynes had been known to have a history with Adderall, which can cause speedy weight loss.

Following her stint in the hospital and three weeks of treatment, Bynes reportedly left the facility after working to ensure she was fit to return to her regular life and activities.

A source for the Daily Mail said at the time, "Amanda has left the medical facility on her own recognizance." They added, "She was very cooperative, participated in her recovery the staff supported her decision to leave as she had successfully completed the treatment program."

The source also claimed that the actress was advised to continue staying away from her ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, as her close ones believed he was a "catalyst" in her psychotic break. The source noted, "Her family and friends believe that her split was a catalyst in her breakdown and that he is not a healthy and safe person for her to be around."

They further stated that the former couple "were codependent on each other, and the latter part of their relationship was toxic due, in part, to the fact that they met in rehab. They substituted their addiction to substances for an addiction for each other."

The "What a Girl Wants" actress was previously under a conservatorship which she was released from more than a year ago. 

Bynes' parents were reportedly in support of her release due to her significant improvement and recovery, evidence of which was stated in the legal documents obtained by The Blast. 

"Ms. Bynes has no apparent impairment in alertness and attention, information and processing, or ability to modulate mood and affect, and suffers no thought disorders," her court filing read. It continued, "Ms. Bynes' psychiatrist further opines that Ms. Bynes has the capacity to give informed consent to any form of medical treatment."

The "She's The Man" actress' conservatorship was eventually terminated on March 24th. Per CBS, the Judge wrote in a ruling, "The court determines that the conservatorship is no longer required and that grounds for establishment of a conservatorship of the person no longer exist." 

It continued, "The court intends to grant the petition for termination and order the conservatorship of the person of Amanda Bynes be terminated."
