The Beverly Hills House Pete Davidson Hit Has Been Razed
According to TMZ, the Beverly Hills property that Pete Davidson crashed into with his car has been torn down completely. The house was previously located on the famous Rodeo Drive, and now all that's left is a pile of dirt and the outline of the foundation.
The news outlet's initial report on the accident revealed that Davidson and his girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, were together when it happened. The comedian was speeding through the Beverly Hills neighborhood when he lost control of his vehicle, drove off the curb, and hit the property.
At the time of Davidson's auto crash in March, the recently demolished Beverly Hills home only had a small dent on the side from where the actor's car smashed into it. Davidson also uprooted a fire hydrant and some shrubs, ruining the house's front lawn.
The L.A. County District Attorney's Office recently confirmed that the actor had been charged with reckless driving. His arraignment has now been scheduled for July 27. If Davidson is convicted, his offense carries up to 90 days of jail time and a fine of $1000.
It's Unclear Why The House Was Torn Down
With the damage to the house being reported as minimal, it was assumed that Davidson or insurance would cover any repair costs. Now that it's been demolished, it's evident that a new home will soon be built there, but it's unclear who is covering those costs.
TMZ previously spoke to the homeowner, who shared that no one was hurt, only that his teenage daughter was slightly traumatized by the accident. She was reportedly reading when the car hit the building and thought it was an earthquake shaking their home.
A few hours before the accident occurred, Davidson and his girlfriend Wonders were photographed on their Hawaii vacation and didn't appear to be in a hurry to return to L.A. According to the news outlet, the young couple seemingly flew back almost immediately after being spotted by the paparazzi. The "King of Staten Island" star even attended the Kids Choice Awards that same day to present an award.
Pete Davidson And Chase Sui Wonders Are 'Still Going Strong'
Davidson and Wonders started their relationship in late 2022 after they were spotted at a New York Rangers game looking cozy and cute. A source recently revealed to People magazine that the two actors are very happy and "still going strong."
They said, "He really, really cares for her and thinks she's just the best." The source also shared that Davidson is "taking his time" with their romance despite their very close relationship. Over the last few years, the comedian has been romantically linked with stars like Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, and actress Kate Beckinsale.
The source further said of the couple, "When they're apart, they're always on the phone and just a cute couple." Asides from their multiple dates and outings, Davidson and Wonders have also gone on vacations together, such as their trip to Hawaii.
Pete Davidson Calls Chase Sui Wonders 'The Best Actress'
While Davidson and Wonders are notoriously private about their relationship, the comedian has previously gushed about his girlfriend. He spoke to Entertainment Tonight during the red carpet for the premiere of "Bupkis," in April, which they both starred in.
He said, "I mean, she's the best. She's the best actress. She's gonna crush. She's got a lot of cool stuff going." Wonders also spoke about Davidson during an interview with Nylon released last month.
She said, "He's such a pro, and acting with him is my favorite thing. As soon as I got onto Bupkis, it felt like we were flowing again. The relationship's a lot less toxic in Bupkis than it is in Bodies, which is a lot more fun to play."
