Quincy Jones was reportedly rushed to a hospital due to a sudden medical emergency. As stated by his representative when approached by TMZ, the renowned 90-year-old multi-Grammy Award winner had experienced a "bad reaction to some food he ate." Concerned for his well-being, Jones promptly dialed 911 to seek the necessary assistance he needed. 

Los Angeles paramedics promptly responded to the distress call, arriving at Jones' residence to provide immediate medical attention. They subsequently transported him to the emergency room for further evaluation and treatment.

Fortunately, throughout the ordeal, Jones remained conscious and was in "great spirits" once he received medical clearance from the attending physician.

He Has Suffered Two Brain Aneurysms

Throughout his illustrious career, the celebrated composer has encountered various health challenges that have shaped his life. According to Page Six, one such incident occurred in 1974 when he faced a life-threatening brain aneurysm, which necessitated two surgeries and left him with six steel pins implanted in his head.

Reflecting on his experiences, Jones candidly revealed these details in his 2018 documentary, "Quincy." Recalling the trying period, he stated, "I actually had two brain aneurysms. So I guess I would classify as having some experience with trauma to the brain."

Additionally, Jones shared the unfortunate circumstances surrounding his mother, Sarah, who had a mental illness. "She was a brilliant woman who spoke several languages and had degrees from several colleges, but she had this condition that debilitated her, which today could've been controlled with medication. But at the time, during the Depression, they simply would commit you," he shared.

Sadly, when Jones was just seven years old, his mother, who had schizophrenia and dementia, was forcibly taken away and confined in a straight jacket.

While reflecting on the immense gratitude he felt for being alive, Jones stated, "Just let it all out. I was so happy to be alive."

In 2015, the acclaimed producer of "Thriller" was rushed to the hospital after experiencing chest pains and shortness of breath at his Bel Air residence. Per Page Six, his representative assured concerned fans and well-wishers that Jones was in stable condition. They said, "Quincy is fine. He had some shortness of breath and in an abundance of caution, he went in for observation. He is fine though."
