Conor McGregor doesn't need to be the champ to get paid like one, because the MMA star had a huge weekend in the whiskey world despite what happened in the Octagon.

Officials at Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey tell The Blast they sold so much liquor over the weekend that "many bars ran out during fight night." We're told the party continued well into Sunday during the football games, and most of the No. Twelve inventory in the United States was depleted.

McGregor was pushing his Irish whiskey hard during promotion of his fight with Khabib, and even cracked open a fresh bottle in NYC during the UFC 229 press conference.

Reps at the liquor company tell us there have been "inventory issues," as they continue to satisfy the high demand, and many liquor stores are limiting the amount of bottles any one customer may purchase.

We're told McGregor warned the company they didn't produce enough when they launched in September, and they admit "he was right," because in 10 days they blew through 6 months of inventory.

The day after submitting to Khabib and then dealing with the madness that ensued, McGregor was seen holding a glass of whiskey while nursing a giant welt underneath his eye.

The Notorious not only made a ton of money off whiskey but also collected a very lucrative check after the fight while Dana White admitted Khabib's cash was being held by the Nevada Athletic Commission pending investigations into his behavior at the event.

So, who's the real winner?
