Takeoff sent the Internet into a panic when his fellow Migos attended the American Music Awards without him, but it turns out he had a valid reason for skipping the show.

Two out of the three Migos took the stage at the AMAs Tuesday night to accept the award for Favorite Duo/Group in the Pop/Rock category and Takeoff was noticeably absent.

Twitter immediately began churning out theories on where Takeoff could've been – Did Migos breakup? Did Cardi B and Offset put him on babysitting duty for Kulture?

Offset's mom, Latabia Woodward, is clearing the air on her son's bandmate's absence after a fan questioned Migos' status as a group. "It's still 3 of them. Take is working on his solo album which releases soon after Quavo's. Each of the, are releasing solo projects," Woodward replied to a comment on social media.

While it's still unclear why Takeoff couldn't, well, take off time from recording in the studio to accept an award alongside Quavo and Offset, mom's explanation makes sense. Quavo gave some insight into Migos' most quiet member in a recent interview, saying, "He likes to work and mind his business. He doesn’t like to be involved in a lot of things, he just just likes to make good music for the people.
