North West Went On $1000 Dior Shopping Spree for Her Birthday

The birthday fun continues for North West!

The eldest child of reality star Kim Kardashian and ex-husband and rapper Kanye West turned ten recently, and her mom has been treating her to the finest things of life. For the latest round of joint celebrations with her friend Pal, North was treated to a designer shopping spree and walked away with gorgeous fashion items, thanks to her mother. 

Even though North's tenth birthday was on Thursday, June 15,  the festivities began Wednesday night with a sleepover at The Beverly Hills Hotel. The celebrant's friends got to spend time with their best girl and enjoyed a "beauty brunch" at the hotel, featuring various mouthwatering treats and professional makeup lessons, on D-Day.

The group was then treated to a Dior shopping spree by Kim later in the day. Per the behind-the-scenes clip shared on TikTok, the billionaire businesswoman took the ten-year-old and her guests to the luxury brand's "Dioriviera" pop-up at the hotel, where they had a swell time checking out several eye-catching fashion items.

The mother-daughter duo then tried out a set of matching pink J'Adior friendship bracelets embroidered with "Beverly Hills" and the Dior logo, with the celebrant settling for a pearl choker after she browsed the store's jewelry display.

The video also showed North's friends checking out Lady Dior handbags and wrapped up with a cute selfie of her and her doting mom. Although the "BHH VIBES" captioned post did some incredible numbers, getting nearly 165k likes, Kim chose to turn off the comment section.

That decision might have been spurred by the mixed reaction the 42-year-old received when she used two selfies of her and North pouting to mark the latter's big day on Instagram. The pair appeared happy as they posed in their Los Angeles Lakers team wear, perfectly styled hairdos, and lip colors, for the shots, which Kim captioned:

"My sweet special baby girl. I can't believe you're 10 years old North. My soul changed the day I met you and I love having you as my best friend. Thank you for making me a mommy. I love you so so so much and I will always be by your side forever ♾️."

Alongside getting millions of likes, the post brought an avalanche of reactions, with some critics pointing out the flaws in Kim's parenting. "Only 10? Wearing makeup and eyebrow wax? Dang! I thought she's 16," one person commented, as another wrote, "PIs remember she is only 10. Let her have a childhood."

A third person advised, "Don't teach your daughter to make the same stupid face that you do in pictures," and a fourth added, "U need to remember she is only 10yrs. Point blank." Meanwhile, several others wished North a happy birthday, and a handful attributed her acting older than her age to her being a Gemini.

"She's a Gemini. It all makes sense now ??," one netizen noted, while a second effused, "An icon and her mom." A third viewer claimed she was "Gorgeous just like mommy," and a fourth lauded, "She's soo grown and beautiful."

HHer aunt Khloe Kardashian and her mom's best friend, Lala Anthony, stepped into the comments to celebrate her lovingly.

Before the birthday shenanigans began, North had another reason to turn up and be happy. Per The Blast, she landed her first major acting gig as one of the three new pups in the upcoming animation film, "PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie."

Since her mom will be reprising her role as Delores in the animation, the duo will have something else to bond over. North's younger brother, Saint West, is also slated to appear briefly in the film.

So far, the star-studded cast boasts names like Kristen Bell, James Marsden, Serena Williams, Taraji P. Henson, and McKenna Grace. The execs behind the first film were prompted to make a sequel following the unbelievable success it enjoyed following its August 2021 premiere. 

The President of Nickelodeon Animation and Paramount Animation, Ramsey Naito, explained at the time, "Following the historic success of the first film, which truly reinforced the global love for this franchise, we knew that this sequel called not only for an equally great story but for world-class talent to bring these characters to life once again."
