Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle are no longer pursuing their partnership with Spotify.
The couple made the streaming service the exclusive platform for their audio productions, including Markle's podcast "Archetypes."
An announcement regarding the fate of Markle, 41,'s podcast was made earlier this week via a report from The Wall Street Journal. The podcast focused on Markle's interviews with famous figures, and its first season premiered last August.
The streaming service released a joint statement along with Markle and Prince Harry's Archewell Audio team.

According to a teaser for the podcast, Markle provided the 4-1-1 to listeners about the podcast's premise. According to one of our pieces of coverage, Markle shared, "This is 'Archetypes,' the podcast where we dissect, explore, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back."
She would continue explaining regarding the podcast's premise, "This is how we talk about women: the words that raise our girls, and how the media reflects women back to us. But where do these stereotypes come from? And how do they keep showing up and defining our lives?"
Markle hosted her pal Serena Williams as her first guest. Pop diva Mariah Carey would proceed her as the podcast's second guest.
"Archetypes" would go on to top Spotify's podcast charts, even dethroning Spotify favorite Joe Rogan's controversial podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience." (per The Blast)

The dissolution of Prince Harry and the Dutchess of Sussex's deal with Spotify ultimately marks the end of "Archetypes."
The aforementioned joint press release between Archwell Audio reads in part, "Spotify and Archwell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together..." According to Vanity Fair, the dissolution of Prince Harry and Markle's deal proceeds layoffs from Gimlet, which the publication reports was the studio that had been affiliated with the couple's deal.
The publication also shares the dissolution of the deal had nothing to do with these 200 layoffs, per Variety.
The couple reportedly did not reach the "productivity benchmark that would lead to the full payout." The partnership between the duo and Spotify was reportedly worth $20 million. (via Vanity Fair)
The dissolution of the couple's deal, however, doesn't mean the end of Markle behind a mic. She is allegedly planning to "develop more audio content," the outlet reports per the WSJ.
"Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the 'Archetype' audience on another platform," the newspaper reported.
The last episode of "Archetypes" aired last November and features Bravo's Andy Cohen and Judd Apatow as guests, along with Trevor Noah. The foursome discussed the act of moving past various societal stereotypes. Markle uses her two male guests to get the male perspective on how they can help combat these stereotypes.
How Did The Couple React To The End Of Their Spotify Deal?
Markle later acknowledged the end of the duo's deal with Spotify, sharing her feelings about the creative process with viewers.
The Dutchess of Sussex shared, "I loved digging my hands in the process, sitting up late at night in bed, working on the writing and creative. And I loved digging deep into meaningful conversation with my diverse and inspiring guests, laughing and learning with them. It's been such a labor of love," Markle concluded. (per Yahoo!)
