Pete Davidson Faces 90 Days In Jail For Reckless Driving Charge

Remember when Pete Davidson smashed into a house with a car? The verdict is in, and his charges as reckless driving.

The comedian was officially charged in that bizarre incident where he crashed into a house. He is dealing with one count of reckless driving handed down by the L.A. County District Attorney's Office.

The crash occurred in March on the 4th, close to midnight. Davidson was driving his Mercedes allegedly pretty damn fast through a residential neighborhood when he lost control of the luxury car and smashed into the home.

The pictures revealed that the house was pretty banged but could have been worse. The siding was smashed in and instead dented. At the time of the crash, some pointed out that Davidson's car had worse damage than the home.

The actor wasn't alone; his girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, was riding shotgun, according to the police report. It's unclear how the crash occurred precisely, but sources claimed that the car jumped the curb and took out a fire hydrant before hitting the side of the house.

The owners of the house were not home, but their daughter was. Thankfully she wasn't hurt. The owner later stated that their 16-year-old daughter was "a bit" traumatized after what was likely an earthquake-type shake.

At the time, no one was arrested, and the police did not believe foul play was involved and cops didn't think drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident.

Now that the charge has been handed down, The Saturday Night Live alum has to deal with the aftermath, including the possibility of up to 90 days in jail. Plus, a $1,000 fine and a tiny ding on your driver's license.

Thankfully, the owners are fantastic for Davidson and have no intention of suing the super-rich, famous guy. Davidson, unfortunately, is no stranger to drama. He was again in the news for buying a puppy instead of adopting one.

He blasted PETA and apologized in the same breath after they called him out for not adopting or, better yet, using his celebrity status to shine a light on adoption by adopting a puppy. Again, his girlfriend was with him and caught some residual heat for his actions.

Despite the drama surrounding their relationship, the couple is allegedly going strong and in love. "He cares for her and thinks she's just the best," a source shared with PEOPLE. "He's taking his time with the relationship."

The source continues they are still in the cute honeymoon phase. "When they're apart, they're always on the phone and just a cute couple." The two have been connected since 2022 after starring in Bodies, Bodies, Bodies together.

The two haven't confirmed their relationship, but the pictures say something else.
