"Modern Family" co-creator Steve Levitan is finally about to have a lot less unscripted drama in his life because he finally settled his ongoing divorce.
According to court records obtained by The Blast, Steve and Krista Levitan were able to hash out an agreement over their split and filed the settlement package on Friday.
The documents state that Krista will not receive spousal support as she long as she receives a minimum gross income of $4 million from various sources, including "Modern Family." There will be no retroactive support and she withdrew her request for temporary support.
They each get to hang on to a few bank accounts but they are splitting a bunch 50/50, including two that total $15.5 million. She also gets half of his Producer-Writers Guild of America Pension Plan and half of his Director's Guild of America Pension Plan.
The two sides also agreed to sell their Santa Monica home and split the profits but Krista must give Steve $350,000 of her profits as an equalization payment.
Krista filed for divorce back in January 2016, and with millions of dollars on the table, soon engaged in a brutal public showdown with her husband, who also worked on shows like "Grey the Bunny" and "Just Shoot Me!"
The split turned ugly, with allegations of abuse and harassment by Krista, and even restraining orders being fired off. Steve had always maintained that Krista's allegations were false, and just an attempt to smear his reputation.
It's unclear what the details of the settlement are, but the clear winners in the split are the divorce attorneys who have been racking up legal bills for over two years.
Steve and Krista married in 1992 and have three children.
