Ye 'Cutting Cost' At Yeezy, Staffers Fired And Replaced With Interns

Kanye West is still trying to make his fashion line pop off without help, which means cutting costs and people.

After having a public fallout with Adidas, GAP, and Balenciaga, the rapper is reworking his Yeezy brand. His most recent move was renting headquarters space on Melrose Ave in WeHo. Along with new freedom comes new faces,

The "Stronger" rapper allegedly got rid of a chunk of his team, and when we say got rid of, yes, we mean no long. Working there, according to Radar Online, he is working towards achieving the best team. He is said to be dropping a lot of money on ex-American Apparel founder Dov Charney to help his company flourish.

Radar Online is sharing that Ye has dropped paid staff and replaced them with interns, dozens, in fact, seemingly enough to keep a fashion house afloat.

Sources close to Ye told The U.S. Sun that the rapper is working overtime to make things perfect. "Although Kanye is determined to bounce back with Yeezy, and work is going on at his new HQ on Melrose, he's already been cutting costs."

"It's no secret he's been bad with money in the past, and some people who have been working for him have been let go in recent weeks or told he can't afford them at the moment," continued the source. The source also dropped the bomb that Ye is using Craigslist to find interns, which is not something a celeb of his caliber would typically do.

So yes, a little unconventional, but at least they are getting paid, says the source. "Despite this, he has been advertising for interns to work for him on Craigslist and social media for $16 per hour. They continue. "He wants them doing everything from pattern making and sample sewing to photo editing and social media."

He believes that Charney, who has been helping him organize things and will likely take on a more significant role as the process continues. The source reiterates, "But he's not bringing in anyone else with a stacked CV at the moment, which many worry may hurt him in the future."

He isn't ready for that yet. He could be traumatized from his experience with places like GAP left a sour taste in his mouth.

The source continued. "There have been jokes that the only experienced person is the chef who cooks them all sushi for lunch."

The rapper's "wife," Bianca Censori, is also allegedly accommodating and "hands-on" with the Yeezy brand. The budget is allegedly not big because Ye reportedly lost $2 million a day after going on his anti-sematic rant.

Thankfully, Charney is in charge of the budget and report; Edly has a good working relationship with Ye, so the rebrand is off to a good start. On a personal note, Ye was spotted this week celebrating his birthday.
