Anita Baker has decided to remove Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds from "The Songstress Tour" following a dispute with some of Babyface's fans.
The disagreement began when technical difficulties led to Babyface's performance being canceled at a show in New Jersey. Baker then revealed on Twitter that she had been subjected to cyberbullying, verbal abuse, and threats of violence from Babyface's fan base.

Anita Baker Kicks Babyface From Tour
Anita Baker's ongoing "The Songstress Tour" will proceed without an opening act due to a recent dispute between the acclaimed "Sweet Love" performer and fans of Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds.
Last month, technical difficulties forced Baker to cancel Babyface's performance at a show in New Jersey. However, the situation escalated when Baker revealed on Twitter earlier this week that she had been subjected to threats from Babyface's supporters. In response, the "Giving You the Best That I Got" hitmaker took to the social media platform on Tuesday to announce that Babyface would no longer be part of the remaining tour dates.
"After Silently Enduring Cyber Bulling/Verbal Abuse & Threats of Violence from the Fan Base, of Our Special Guest/Support Act. In the Interest of Personal Safety. I will continue, The Songstress Tour, alone," the 65-year-old Baker tweeted. "Appropriate refunds will be made."

In a recent update, Babyface took to his social media accounts to address the situation surrounding his removal from "The Songstress Tour." While addressing the issue, he wrote, "I am saddened by the news that Anita Baker has decided to remove me from 'The Songstress Tour." It's unfortunate and disheartening to see how things have played out via social media."
"While I was looking forward to the rest of the dates, I have nothing but love & respect for Anita, and I wish her the best for the remainder of the tour," he added.
Babyface's Performance Was Canceled Due To Technical Issues
The May 10 show at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, had faced significant delays due to technical issues. Ultimately, the audience was informed that Babyface's performance had been canceled to allow Baker to deliver her complete set.
"I am truly sorry to my fans who have been waiting for us to hit the stage this evening at @PruCenter," Babyface tweeted. "I was asked not to perform to give Ms. Baker space and time to perform her show in its entirety. My band and I are extremely saddened we didn't get to perform for you all tonight."
In a statement to People magazine, Babyface also shared that his performance was canceled due to technical issues with the video screen as the production crew was unable to get the video screen up and running in time for his set.
He apologized to fans and expressed his love and respect for Baker while assuring fans he would perform at the next tour stop in Long Island. Following this revelation, some of his unhappy fans attacked Baker on social media.
Anita Baker Asks Babyface To 'Call Off' His Fans
Following the incident, Baker took to Twitter to reveal that she had been receiving threats from some of Babyface's fans. She called upon Babyface to intervene and address the behavior of his followers, tweeting, "Kenny's Crazies are online Bullies. @Babyface Please call off your fans. I have been Only Kind and Supportive, of You, as the Special Guest/Support on My Tour."
In response to complaints about how she presented the situation, the "Sweet Love" hitmaker confirmed that Babyface was her particular guest/support act on her tour, writing, "Yes, Babyface is Special Guest/Support Act, on my tour. She continued, "This False Narrative of A Co-headliner is creating Unrealistic Expectations & Aggression from his fans towards me. He should tell you guys the Truth."
In another tweet, Baker mentioned that some of Babyface's fans were struggling to accept the reality of his role, stating, "As you can see... Some of his fans do not accept the reality that he is contracted, as special guest support, on My Tour. Some even want to hurt me... Crazyyyy. Town."
