Ezra Miller Took A Plea Deal In Felony Burglary Case
Following a challenging period of controversy after controversy, it was revealed early this year that Miller had decided to take a plea deal in their felony burglary case. The actor was accused of breaking into a neighbor's Vermont home to steal liquor bottles.
"Ezra Miller pled guilty this morning to a misdemeanor unlawful trespass in Vermont Superior Court and accepted the conditions imposed by the court," their lawyer said in a statement, per Yahoo. "Ezra would like to thank the court and the community for their trust and patience throughout this process, and would once again like to acknowledge the love and support they have received from their family and friends, who continue to be a vital presence in their ongoing mental health."
As reported by The Blast, Miller previously pleaded not guilty to the felony burglary charges, claiming the whole situation was a misunderstanding.
They Allegedly Had A Small Harem And A Small Stash Of Weapons
Along with their arrests and charges, a scathing exposé by Vanity Fair, titled Ezra Miller's 'Messiah' Delusions: Inside The Flash Star's Dark Spiral, alleged that the actor believed they were a messiah, an idea which was only fueled more by the fact that they had a small flock of followers.
An insider claimed to the publication that the DC star ran a small harem or cult at their ranch in Vermont and that they also kept a stash of firearms and other dangerous weapons, which were allegedly enough for a small war.
The sources also claimed that Miller considered themselves a real-life superhero and described how the "Fantastic Beasts" actor would partake in rituals where they'd burn sage and give sermons to the harem members.
Ezra Miller Apologized For Their Actions
After receiving severe backlash for their worrisome behavior and numerous arrests, the actor, in a shocking turn of events, did a 180 and tendered an apology to those they "upset."
In a statement released to Variety via their reps, Miller stated that they were sorry for their actions and said they would seek treatment for their "complex mental health issues."
The statement read, "Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment."
It continued, "I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe, and productive stage in my life."
Many reports claimed that the actor apologized because of their love for the "The Flash" movie and the realization that they were severely harming it with their highly publicized erratic behavior.
DC's "The Flash" is set to hit several theaters on June 16th.
