Another 'Love Island' Couple Have Called it Quits!

The official news is that Paige Turley has confirmed her relationship with Finn Tapp is done.

The former couple revealed the split to current Love Island host Maya Jama on the Aftersun Aftershow. Fans will remember that two months ago, speculation swirled around the internet that the two were over one another.

The couple won the first season of Love Island Winter in 2020 and came off as one of the show's strongest couples. It was reported that Turley was seen moving out of the home she once shared with Tapp.

As the statement did not follow, many fans took to Twitter to slam those perpetuating rumors about the couple's breakup. This is the first confirmation of the split, and they saved it for the after show giving their full transparency and access.

Turley told Jama, "We're still excellent friends; we just drifted apart." Turley and Tapp looked upset about the ordeal seeing as it had only been three months. A source spoke up soon after the rumors started to make the rounds.

They claimed, "Paige and Finn had a perfect run, but they are still super young and decided it wasn't forever in the end." They continued to The Sun, "Paige is spending some time back in Scotland while she works out what she wants to do next."

Some fans accused the couple of taking things too fast when the show ended. They moved in together basically as soon as they got back to reality. They defended their decision to The Mirror.

They acknowledged it was a little fast, but they had reasons good enough for them. They laughed off the hate and even joked they could do with another round on the Love Island winter edition with each other.

Now that the love cloud has disappeared, Turley reflects. "I think we drifted apart. We did lockdown together, and any and every struggle we could have faced, we were faced with." While Turley is no longer in love with Tapp, she joked with co- guest Shaughna Phillips about entering the new season.

"She's the new bombshell," heading into the villa, teased Phillips. Who replied, "No, I'm not, but if he [Finn] goes in there, he will be in trouble; we're not having an Adam Collard bombshell again." IYKYK.

The reality star mentioned that the lockdown was a little hard on the duo. Finn elaborated to theDaily Mail, "So, I think a good bit of advice is to try and make sure everything that is happening around you doesn't affect you getting that quality time with whoever you come out with." So cryptic.

A source shared that the two realized they "weren't forever" and decided to cut their losses. Turley told Jama, "Every struggle we could have faced, we were faced with." That doesn't sound too optimistic.

Thankfully the young couple was able to end things on an amicable note. This isn't always something that former Love Islander couples have mastered.
