If you thought Megyn Kelly would make a partisan jump back to Fox News after her show gets canceled at NBC, think again, because the House That Roger Ailes Built is apparently good with their current lineup.
Less than two days after she seemingly defended the use of blackface on her show, “Megyn Kelly Today,” the host is apparently out at NBC, according to The Daily Mail. She has also split with her talent agents at CAA.
Some have speculated that Kelly, after negotiating her exit strategy with The Peacock, may try and make a triumphant return to Fox News. However, a spokesperson for the network tells The Blast, “We are extremely happy with our entire line-up.”
Translation: “Nah, we’re good.”
It’s possible Fox News would be more apt to make a play on acquiring Kelly had her show at NBC garnered positive ratings. Unfortunately, her ratings have continued to drop since the show premiered last September.
Kelly famously left Fox News back in 2017 after claiming that some of the network’s stars, like Bill O’Reilly, created a toxic environment for women. The network has since put in place new policies to ensure the safety of all their employees.
Meanwhile, Kelly is reportedly trying to work out the details of her $69 million contract, which she believes should all be hers unless NBC can prove she violated something in her contract.
