'Stay Fat And Be Happy
Eric André recently shared some exciting insights about weight and happiness. After shedding 40 pounds in just six months for the sixth season of "The Eric André Show," André humorously advised people to "stay fat."
In an interview with GQ, the 40-year-old comedian playfully commented, "There is a reason skinny people are bitches and fat people are jolly." He added that "fat people," such as sumo wrestlers and Santa Claus, are "happy." André also jokingly said, "Skinny people have f**king attitudes because they're f**king starving."
While the "Bad Trip" star acknowledged the personal satisfaction of fitting into his old jeans and shorts, he admitted that the mental and emotional toll was not worth the sacrifice.
The comedian humorously recalled a moment when his assistant asked him how he felt, to which he responded, "F**king hungry! I remember being irritated," he said. "I say stay fat. If you're fat or chubby, stay that way. I felt great … but it wasn't worth cutting out French fries," he advised.
Eric André Shares How He Got 'Ripped'
André recently embarked on a remarkable journey to transform his physique, going from 213 pounds to 173 pounds with a body fat percentage below nine percent. However, behind the impressive results, André revealed that his path to becoming "ripped" involved forgoing the enjoyment of eating and drinking out with friends, opting instead for "boring" and "dreadful" pre-made meals.
The comedian star shared insights into his dietary choices during his remarkable weight loss journey. He revealed that his diet primarily revolved around a substantial amount of meat, including chicken, fish, and turkey. Rather than depriving himself of certain foods, André described his eating habits during the process as "moderation, not deprivation."
To assist him in tracking his progress and maintaining discipline, André relied on a calorie counting app called Noom, which helped him keep a close eye on his daily caloric intake, ensuring that he stayed on track with his weight loss goals. Surprisingly, André mentioned that the most challenging aspect of his weight loss journey was getting adequate sleep.
Eric André Admits He 'Undid Six Months Of Work In Three Weeks
After completing the physically demanding filming for the sixth season of "The Eric André Show," André shared that he indulged in a well-deserved reward: devouring an "entire pepperoni pizza" despite his newfound knowledge about health and weight loss.
Following his pizza feast, André added that he embarked on a trip to Portugal, where he drank his "weight in wine." However, upon returning from his vacation, reality hit him hard when he stepped on the scale. "I undid six months of work in about three weeks," he revealed.
While André acknowledged the improvements in his overall health due to his fitness transformation, he confessed his fondness for guilty pleasures such as "hot Cheetos, rum, cognac, and video games."

André previously took to Instagram, sharing a series of before and after photos taken in his backyard. He confidently posed shirtless in the images, emphasizing the significant change in his physique. However, despite the undeniable physical achievement, André expressed his aversion to dieting, writing, "I'll never do a body modification again! That sh*t was brutal for both seasons [sic]."
He jokingly added, "If you work at Marvel, ignore the last two sentences."
