Jennifer Aniston is not only well-known for her role as Rachel Green in the sitcom "Friends," but she has also long dazzled fans with her toned, fit body. However, the 54-year-old actress has admitted that her excessive exercise lifestyle, which she followed to maintain her physical appearance, eventually left her exhausted and broken.

Her perspective has changed since she met with her physical therapist, and she now encourages people to adopt a healthy, fitness lifestyle. She has recently been marketing her partnership with the fitness brand Pvolve. This partnership would assist individuals in staying fit by working with a "user-friendly" exercise program.

Speaking with InStyle, Aniston shared that engaging in excessive workout regimens for over 15 years led her body to get "burned out."

"When you're in a mindset of, 'I need to do 45 minutes of cardio, or I won't get a good workout,' it's daunting," she said, per Daily Mail. "I believed it for so long. I just burnt out and broke my body."

Aniston, who made the revelation as part of her promotion for her new collaboration with fitness brand Pvolve, noted that her mindset shifted after a session with her therapist.

"My physical therapist gave me a Barbie doll covered in Kinesio tape," she added before explaining what the gesture implied.

Aniston continued, "It's a silly mental image until you realize the purpose of all that tape is 'to show every injury I've had in the last 15 years."

As part of her new arrangement to correct her previous workout lifestyle, Aniston no longer does exercises that are "too repetitive."

The actress prefers working out with friends, as it helps maintain the correct workout procedures.

She shared, "Doing your workout by yourself, meh. You can have fun if you get some good music going, but I like to be guided. It's too easy for me to do things less correctly than I should."

While in the gym, she also entertains herself with music, although she has no particular favorites.

"It's hard for me to choose favorites. There are so many! I'm really into Lizzo right now, I love Rihanna, of course, and I love old-school '90s hip-hop," Aniston stated.

She Wants Others To Embrace A Healthy Exercise Lifestyle

In collaboration with Pvolve founder Rachel Katzman, Aniston hopes to make more people embrace a healthy exercise lifestyle.

The company has created "an exercise program that pairs functional movement with resistance-based equipment," which Aniston started using after hurting her back two years ago.

The actress was seen promoting the program while speaking with People magazine earlier in the week. "I just want more people to know about it because I think it's so good," Aniston said about the program, per Daily Mail.

The "Friends" alum also noted that the program, which she hyped as "user-friendly," was far different from others.

In a separate interview with Radio Times, Aniston revealed one of her other activities to keep fit. She shared that she practices intermittent fasting (IF) and uses a version known as the 16:8 diet.

"I do intermittent fasting, so no food in the morning," the actress shared. "I noticed a big difference in going without solid food for 16 hours."

Apart from practicing IF, Aniston told First For Women magazine last year that she does a mini facial weekly to maintain her skin.

But she looks forward most to her meditation moments in a cozy, quiet space.

"It's my favorite moment," said the Golden Globe winner. "I wish we could freeze time in that magic hour because there's a lot of taking it all in, the appreciation of the day."
