Kesha Not Buying Iggy Azalea's Claim She Didn't Collab with Dr. Luke on 'Savior'

Kesha is calling BS on her once-friend Iggy Azalea for claiming she didn’t work with Dr. Luke on her song "Savior" and is using their alleged collaboration as part of her defense in their never-ending legal battle.

Back in February, Iggy released the track – which featured Migos’ Quavo – and many people noticed the credits on Tidal and Spotify listed Dr. Luke as a co-writer.

Iggy was being called out by fans for working with the producer, despite Kesha’s sexual assault claims against Luke. The singer said that the song was produced by two people named Cirkut and MHL, who had “production agreements with Luke,” but she claimed she did not work with Luke on the song.

As part of his defamation case against Kesha, Dr. Luke claims her sexual assault allegations cost him upwards of $50 million from lost work, claiming no artists would work with him.

He submitted a damage report from an expert which stated Luke lost $29.9 in producer and publishing royalties and fees; $8.7 million from co-writing tracks with his label songwriters; and $10.2 million from producing and co-writing on Katy Perry’s fourth, fifth and sixth albums.

On November 2, Kesha refuted his claims, saying he has been avoiding disclosing his post-2014 business deals and saying he continues to “meet, collaborate, and release songs with superstars like …"

The remainder of the sentence is redacted but Kesha attached several exhibits to the complaint, including a screenshot from the Spotify page that credited Dr. Luke on "Savior."

Kesha clearly believes Dr. Luke did indeed work with Iggy on "Savior" despite her public claims otherwise.

She argues that these high-profile artists interest in working with Dr. Luke “squarely undermines Dr. Luke’s claim that Kesha’s alleged statements have caused him more than $40 million in harm."

The case remains ongoing.
