Al Pacino Could Not Hide His Delight At Becoming A Father Again

Although it has been a week since news of his girlfriend, Noor Alfallah being pregnant with their first child broke, Pacino has taken his time confirming and speaking on it. The AFI Life, Achievement Award recipient eventually did so when an undisclosed photographer asked if he was "excited" about becoming a fourth-time dad. In response, the "Scarface" actor stated:

"It's very special. It always has been. I've got many kids. But this is really special coming at this time."

In the clip exclusively obtained by Daily Mail, the actor further asserted that he had not been furnished with the baby's gender yet. Pacino's ecstatic reaction to the baby news seemingly shuts down the rumors surrounding the circumstances of the pregnancy.

Multiple blogs, such as TMZ, claimed that the legendary screen god was initially displeased when he heard that Alfallah was expecting. According to the outlet, the "Dog Day Afternoon" star did not believe he was responsible for the pregnancy due to underlying medical issues that would have typically prevented a man from successfully impregnating a woman.

Insiders also shared that Pacino only found out about the pregnancy two months ago, which expectedly "shocked" him at the time. With all these in view, the actor demanded a DNA scan to determine if he was the baby's dad.

Luckily, Alfallah obliged, and the test proved that the "House of Gucci" star owned the eight-month pregnancy. While the pair were first romantically linked in April 2022 after they were seen grabbing dinner together, several sources alleged that they had been quietly seeing each other since the pandemic.

The 'Donnie Brasco' Star Has Taken Over From His Friend As The Oldest Actor To Welcome A Child

Amid the news of "The Indian Wants the Bronx" star's forthcoming baby, The Blast noted that the octogenarian would take over from his dearly beloved friend, Robert De Niro, as the oldest Hollywood star to welcome a child in old age. As it turned out, De Niro welcomed his seventh child, a baby girl, with his girlfriend Tiffany Chen on April 6 at 79.

The "Casino" superstar and his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, are parents to a daughter Drena, and a son Raphael. In 1995, the actor welcomed twin sons —  Julian and Aaron — with his ex-girlfriend and model Toukie Smith.

He shares a son Elliot, and a daughter Helen Grace, with his second wife, Grace Hightower. With such a large brood, many have wondered how he has remained in charge of his home front and busy career.

They got an answer when he expounded on his fatherhood experience while promoting his recently released comedy "About My Father" last month. After explaining that he had to strike a balance between his love language as a father of loving the children openly and being "stern about stuff," he continued:

"There's no way around it with kids. I don't like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you have no choice. And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes you can't."

De Niro added that he did not deem himself a "cool dad," even though it was a tag he would have enjoyed having. In his words:

"You know, my kids sometimes disagree with me, and they're respectful. My daughter, who's 11, gives me grief sometimes, and I argue with her. I adore her, but, you know. And my youngest now, that'll be more to come. But that's what it is."
