Even off the court, Giannis Antetokounmpo is making sweet moves.

The Milwaukee Bucks star and his family are now the proud owners of Candy Funhouse! In a fun announcement shared on YouTube, Antetokounmpo explains how the candy company came about for him and his family.

When the Milwaukee Bucks star came to the U.S. at 18, he became a big fan of Oreos and other sweets. After sharing a story about a time his friend ate all his Oreos and how he now gifts him Oreos when he sees him, Antetokounmpo jumped into his exciting announcement.

"So, again, guys, you know how much I love candy, so there was no way I wouldn't join Candy Funhouse to create something amazing. So I decided me and my family to join the team and become stakeholders in the company," he said. "This is exciting. I cannot wait for the future and the big things we will do together."

Antetokounmpo then told how his family and Candy Funhouse joined forces. It all started back during the pandemic with the many packages the players would get.

"There was this one box outside of my door. I was like, oh, I was excited. I went and grabbed it, brought it in the house, put it on the table, grabbed some scissors, and opened the box," he said. "I thought it was like a Nike box, but no, it was a Candy Funhouse box."

The box had many different sweets in it, and Antetokounmpo said it was one of the best moments during the quarantine for him. He said he wanted the world to see all the great items he got in that box.

"There was some unique stuff I've never seen before from all over the world," he said. "Japan, Germany, France, Canada; so, I wanted the world to see."

The star NBA player said, "Candy brings joy," so he's excited about this new venture.

Candy Funhouse Also Shared The News Of Their New Partnership With The Antetokounmpo Family

Candy Funhouse also shared a YouTube video announcing the Antetokounmpo family's partnership with the company.

When asked what made Antetokounmpo want to partner with the company, he joked, "Just to eat more free candy." He also said he can relate to the family-oriented company.

Antetokounmpo said he's excited about the "journey" and "what the future holds." He also hopes to open a candy store one day.

"The joy that I had when I opened the box was fun. So, I feel like a lot of people around the world, if we ever come up with a line of candy and send them boxes, they're going to be so happy to open the box and see a box full of snacks that they love and snacks that they never tried before," he said.

"And we're gonna share that joy with people."

When asked if he could make his candy line, what would it be? Antetokounmpo said he loves gummy bears in tropical flavors and would want to make some "freak" cookies.

The Bucks star hopes the candy company will continue to grow.

"There's so much potential in this, but for sure, I want us to be known worldwide," he said. "I want many people to experience what I experienced when I opened the box."

Fans of Candy Funhouse's Instagram page dropped into the comments to leave their thoughts on Antetokounmpo partnering with the company.

"You can't love this guy. You can tell he has a heart of gold and is very intelligent, too," one person wrote. Another added, "I love how much he loves candy and how excited he is! ?"

It's apparent to many how much the "Greek Freak" loves candy and sweets. One follower commented on that, saying, "His whole body language and facial expressions went to inner child level when talking about sweets ??."

Another follower added, "?Get ready for the chocolate chip freaky sour gummies, lol."
