Unfortunately, just as he took to the stage, the actor experienced a brief imbalance, causing him to stumble and fall, per the Daily Mail. The audience gasped in concern as event staff and fellow cast members rushed to his aid.

Fox appeared casual in a denim jacket over a white t-shirt and black jeans for the event. He completed the look with white Nike sneakers and a navy and yellow baseball hat. The Parkinson's advocate was joined on stage by his "Back to the Future" co-star Christopher Lloyd, 84, and Tom Wilson, 64, for the event.

Fox recently opened up about his increasing challenges in his ongoing battle with the neurodegenerative disorder. During a poignant moment in his appearance on "CBS Sunday Morning," he candidly acknowledged the difficulties he's currently facing in his battle with the disease.

As the discussion unfolded, the actor spoke openly about his ongoing struggle with Parkinson's disease, a condition he was diagnosed with in 1991. With heartfelt honesty, he conveyed the increasing difficulties he encounters in his day-to-day life due to the progressive nature of the disorder, saying, "I'm not gonna be 80."

"Yeah, it's, it's banging on the door," he shared after being told by the host that he has "not squandered" but that his illness will one day "make the call" as to when it's his time to go.

"I'm not going to lie. It's gettin' hard; it's gettin' harder. It's gettin' tougher. Every day it's tougher," Fox expressed, his voice filled with determination and vulnerability.

In his chat with CBS, the "Family Ties" alum shared his challenges after undergoing surgery to remove a benign tumor on his spine. 

Fox opened up about how the procedure's unexpected consequences affected his walking ability. He also revealed that the "messed up" system started to "break" other parts of his body, including his arm, elbow, face, and hand.

Michael J. Fox Recently Celebrates His Son's Birthday

Amid his worsening health condition, the actor celebrated a special milestone as he recently commemorated his son's 34th birthday.

The actor took to Instagram to share a carousel of pictures of his son Sam blowing out the candle on his cake. He could also be seen posing in front of a waterfall in another photo.

"Happy Birthday to my big bouncing baby boy @palekidd. You are the best," Fox captioned the post. "Proud to be your pops. Love you!"

His wife, Tracy Pollan, also took to the popular app to share an adorable message with their son.

She wrote, "Happy Birthday to the absolute best son ever! You fill my life with joy, humor, kindness, and random information I never knew! I love you!"
