The buzz about Rodrigo's latest music arrived the same day Taylor Swift announced the first highly-anticipated international dates for her 'Eras Tour.' Rodrigo's alleged one-time rival, Sabrina Carpenter, will join Swift as the date opener in Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.

In case you need a refresher, "driver's license" was widely rumored to be about Rodrigo's ex Joshua Bassett moving on with Carpenter!

There could be something deeper behind Carpenter's collaboration with the "All Too Well (Taylor's Version) (10 Minute Version)" songstress; Page Six pointed out potential clues that can be drawn, which allude to a possible feud between Swift and Rodrigo.

The vibes reportedly turned 'sour' after Swift and Jack Antonoff "were given writing credits" on the "Sour" single "deja vu." Rodrigo later alluded to feeling slighted in an interview with Time Magazine when she said, "It was frustrating to see people deny and discredit my creativity." (per Page Six)

However, Rodrigo was seemingly calm with the duo after they approved her "reimagining" of Swift's 2017 track "New Year's Day" from 2017's "Reputation" for "one step forward, three steps back" featured on "Sour."

In the first anniversary zine Rodrigo created for "Sour," she wrote, "Jack Antonoff & Taylor Swift, who wrote 'New Year's Day,' a.k.a. my favorite love song of all time, were kind enough to approve my reimaging."

She also sang their praises in an interview with the "Zach Sang Show."

"When I got home [from a road trip], I decided to sing it over the chords of 'New Year's Day.' "I think they're lovely chords. I was lucky enough to be approved, and it's on the record now. So, yeah, it's a cool thing," Rodrigo said. (per Hype Bae)

Fans could find out whether there's any truth to the rumor about Rodrigo's sophomore album, referred to as 'OR2' across social media!
