Kim Cattrall is BACK for some “Samantha Jones” action!
The actress confirmed the exciting news less than 24-hours after it broke.

The news of her return was extremely hush, hush on set that many staffers were stunned when they found out about her reprisal.
Now, there’s no second guessing or wondering if the news is true, because Cattrall herself confirmed the news.
She shared Variety’s article titled, “’Sex and the City’ Shocker: Kim Cattrall To Return as Samantha Jones with ‘And Just Like That’ cameo.”

Per Variety’s report, Cattrall will only appear in one scene and it was filmed on March 22nd. She recorded her dialogue without seeing or speaking to her former co-stars, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis.
Cattrall Had ZERO Contact With Sarah Jessica Parker & Other Co-Stars
She also reportedly did not speak to ‘AJLT’ show-runner Michael Patrick King.
According to the outlet, Cattrall’s cameo scene will show Samantha, who in the show has moved to London, will have a phone conversation with Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw.
In season one of “And Just Like That,” Carrie chatted with her estranged friend over text, and in the finale, the two made a plan to see each other in order to reconcile.
This cameo news has come as an absolute shock and delight to “Sex And The City” fans.
Cattrall has had a tumultuous relationship with her main co-stars of the show, and their differing opinions led Cattrall to leave the franchise for good.
Cattrall & SJP Have A Reported Years-Long Feud
She doesn’t have the best relationship with Parker, King and her other co-stars.
Last February, King explained that Cattrall was essentially blacklisted from ever returning to the franchise.
In a 2022 interview with Variety, King explained why fans will never see Samantha in the show.
When asked if he would keep the door open to Cattrall he replied, “No. Just like there was no thought that Kim would ever participate in And Just Like That, because she’s said what she had said.”
King went on to say that he is firm in his stance that fans should not expect to ever see Cattrall on the show.
“The only place I participate in magical thinking is in fiction,” he said. “You take people at their word, and you’re a smart producer — you don’t back yourself into a corner. Magically thinking, it’s great to have Samantha. I have no realistic expectation of Kim Cattrall ever appearing again.”
Since the original show ended in 2004, rumblings began to circulate that the relationship between Cattrall and her castmates was very volatile.
In 2017, the actress did a sit-down interview with British anchor, Piers Morgan. She made some very poignant comments about SJP, the show and her future as Samantha.
When news of a ‘SATC 3’ movie began to make media headlines, it was revealed that it wasn’t getting made due to Cattrall’s “demands” which halted the film.
However, Cattrall told a very different story to Piers.
She revealed she had been saying ‘NO’ to a third film for over a year before SJP went public with her version of the story, which painted a horrible picture of Cattrall.
“Nobody ever picks up the phone and tries to contact you and say, ‘How you doing?’ That would have been the way to handle it,” Cattrall shared, suggesting SJP is not the only co-star to blame for the rift. “This is, it feels like, a toxic relationship.”
Cattrall also went on to say, “I think she [Sarah Jessica] could’ve been nicer. I don’t know what her issue is.”
Season two of “And Just Like That” premieres on Max June 22nd.
