It's a gloomy time in the Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey's household as the new parents painfully bid farewell to one of their beloved pets.

The couple, who treat their furry pets as kids and have been intentional about rescuing and adopting homeless dogs into their home, shared the sad news about their loss to the internet. 

Although Cuoco and Pelphrey made a new addition to their already large dog family by adopting Miss Opal a month before welcoming their daughter, the void left by their deceased pet would forever be felt.

Cuoco, who often referred to her treasured furry baby by the nickname Dumpy or Dumps, had a deep connection with the senior Chihuahua whom she adopted in the summer of 2020.

Mourning the loss of her companion, the ''Hop" actress took to her Instagram account to post a series of snaps of the late dog while she reflected on memories she shared with the dog before finally bidding him farewell.

The post displayed several images of the Chihuahua relaxing in the luxurious home of its owner. From sleeping on a soft gray cushion and getting kisses from the actress to having a customized crib with an inscription of his name on it, Dump Truck indeed had a fulfilled life with his owner.

Another photo revealed the late dog enjoying the warmth while wrapped up in a fluffy colorful blanket. In subsequent images, the tiny canine had a blue-collar adorned around his neck while he wanted plenty of hugs from Cuoco.

Dump Truck also relished evening walks with his furry siblings while placed in a baby perambulator. In other photos, the late pup received sweet cuddles from Pelphrey while Cuoco took adorable pictures of the pair.

The last slide revealed a captivating image of the senior Chihuahua, lounging in his fancy white dog bed while a pink scarf was wrapped around his neck, making the late pup look majestic.

Opening up about her painful loss, Cuoco penned, " ? 'A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself' My sweetest Dump Truck, saying goodbye to you, has deeply pierced my soul. You were with me during some of the hardest moments I've had in my life."

She continued, "You brought endless joy to everyone that met you and kissed my nose when I needed it most. You were as special as it gets, and I'm so grateful we found each other.''

The "Charmed" actress sweetly concluded, "Please tell Norman I miss him every day and will cherish you both forever ?."

Moved by her words and the lovely images of her late dog, her post amassed over 200,000k likes, alongside an outpouring of love shown by fans and colleagues in her comments section.

"Twilight" actor Taylor Lautner penned, "So so sorry you guys ❤." The author of "Big Bang Theory," Jessica Radloff, expressed her feelings, writing, "Dumpy will never be forgotten, and I know Normaan is happy to have his playmate with him. Sending love to you all ❤❤❤."

Another fan penned, "He stayed with you until he knew you found the perfect partner and had the most precious baby to love and be loved by."

Pelphrey also took to his Instagram page to express his sadness about the passing of their adored pet. He uploaded a carousel of images that captured the precious times he shared with Dump Truck. In most pictures, the "Banshee" actor cradled the late dog on his chest and showered him with excess love.

Conveying his emotions, he penned in the caption, "Heavy heart today. We had to say goodbye to one of our pack. DUMP TRUCK, aka Dumpy, was a legend. He ignored me for the first six months I knew him. But slowly, he let me carry him. Pet him. Give him 2nd dinner. Give him 3rd dinner.

"He would stay up late with me and make midnight snacks. And by the end, he was my guy- and he let me hold him and cuddle him and always gave me kisses," he continued.

The bereaved pet owner added, "He was a special dog. What he lacked in size, he more than made up for in personality. And in a house FULL of personality- Dumpy was ?. @kaleycuoco ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ ."

Cuoco Earlier Launched A Dog-inspired Business Venture

Dump Truck's unfortunate passing comes weeks after the dog mom celebrated the legacy of her previous pet, Norman, whom she also lost a while back.

The "Young Sheldon" actress disclosed how she got inspired by the death of her late Pitbull mix to start a project that would benefit dogs. She took to her Instagram to post a carousel of snaps of herself and her late dog, making timeless memories alongside the reason she decided to cater to dog needs. 

She expressed in the caption, "Omg ? I am beyond excited to announce my newest adventure as Co-founder of @ohnorman! My beloved dog Norman's unconditional love inspired me to make the company I always wanted to see in the world."

Cuoco added, "Created in his honor, @ohnorman is all about giving our furry friends the love and care they deserve.
