Instead of taking her usual place as host, the former Miss Tennessee Teen USA titleholder became the guest on the series. She swapped seats with Patrick Custer, a celebrated mental health and addiction awareness advocate.

The Sassy by Savannah founder allowed the "Rooted Recovery Stories" host to take the lead, allowing her to share the heartbreaking story from her youth. According to the media personality, she tried to end her life during a mental health crisis.

"I didn't have a life-or-death experience, but I did try committing suicide, so that potentially was maybe my life-or-death experience," the model confessed. "But for me, it was more a cry for help."

The real estate mogul's daughter explained that the near-tragic incident had become blurry, noting that her suicide attempt occurred when she was around 15 or 16 years old. The entrepreneur believed it happened when her family began filming their first reality TV series.

"It's so crazy because when you go through so much trauma, I feel like you're mind just blocks it out," Chrisley claimed. "I also feel like, too, there were maybe some side effects to what I had done to where it affected my memory, but it all was a blur."

Despite her poor recollection of the timeline, the socialite's memory of the aftermath of her actions was clear. Continuing the story, the 25-year-old said: "I do remember waking up in the hospital and, you know, my parents being there and discussions being had."

The "Growing Up Chrisley" star noted that it was challenging surviving the near-death experience and then having her life shown to the world on TV. "I just remember masking over. Like, I was fine," she stated. "You know, that was just like a hiccup. I'm fine; I'm not crazy."

Although mental health was a personal battle, the podcaster did not have to overcome the trial on her lonesome. The blonde beauty credited her parents, especially the family's patriarch, for supporting her recovery.

The proud daughter, lauding the businessman with praises, said: "My dad spent countless hours with me every day, just trying to get me to talk. Telling me his life stories, his trauma."

"Trying to let me know like, 'Hey, I'm not this perfect person you've always thought I am. I've gone through stuff in my life, too. I've had trauma. I want you to feel comfortable.' And talking to me about it. And it took me a while," Chrisley concluded.

Following their incarceration, the couple's oldest daughter became responsible for her brother Grayson and niece Chole. During an episode of her "Unlocked" podcast, the TV personality noted that becoming a stand-in parent had influenced her opinions about motherhood.

"I'm in that anger part of grief right now. I'm just angry at everything. And also, after taking on the kids. I'm like, 'Okay. Do I want kids? Do I? You know, seeing how much this whole thing has affected us?'" the blonde entertainer lamented.

Despite her doubts about parenthood, the "Royal Pains" alum clarified that she enjoyed raising the younger Chrisleys; however, it was not easy. "I try to be a good adult figure in their life, but it's tough being 25 and having two kids and trying to figure out what's best for them." the reality TV star confessed.
