Maksim Chmerkovskiy is poking fun at his wife, Peta Murgatroyd's demeanor whenever he has to leave home.
A quick scroll through the pro dancers' social media reveals how much he loves spending time with his wife and their son Shai. However, sometimes, he has to take off for work obligations, which leads to his revelation of his pregnant wife's response to him leaving the house.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy Outs Wife Peta Murgatroyd's Reaction To Him Leaving Home
It shouldn't be surprising that Maks has to leave often for work engagements, as Murgatroyd is weeks away from birthing their second child. But as the father of one referred to in his latest Instagram update, these journeys mean catching sight of his wife's raw emotions.
Recently, alongside an adorable snap of his lovely family, Chmerkovskiy gushes about them in the 'bye for now' caption he penned. In it, he shared that he is "off to Napa" and revealed his wife was being a crybaby— "per usual."
The image featured the loving couple kissing while their six-year-old smiled at the camera. The Ukrainian native slipped on a black-and-white plaid pack shirt over a black polo shirt with the same color pants and shoes.
Their son was dressed in a white round-neck shirt and beige-colored trousers. In contrast, Murgatroyd opted for a more comfortable casual outfit consisting of a black top with a plunging neckline, gray joggers, and a pair of Ugg slippers.
The professional choreographer took to the post's caption to divulge that he was attending "Tech Week" in Napa. Afterward, he noted that Shai was "left to hold it down" while he was gone— a task he claims the little one is "taking it literally by holding mommy's belly."
Then he moves to reveal his wife was in tears when he left. He even poked fun at how Murgatroyd gets teary-eyed when he goes shopping. Chmerkovskiy wrote, "@petamurgatroyd is in tears. As per usual. Sometimes she tears up when I go to get groceries, so this is a big one 😢."
Finally, he concluded the text with his reaction when he left for his Napa trip, writing, "Me: I'm gooooooood! Also, me: [sobbing and listening to @sade for the entire 6[-]hour drive], [followed by three crying emoticons.]
Fans in the comment section urged the 43-year-old Latin-Ballroom dance champion to return to his wife early before she goes into labor. Meanwhile, as the "Burn the Floor" stars slowly cruise into their family-of-four era, The Blast detailed how they decided to create forever memories with their firstborn before approaching the end of the 9-month cycle.
The final family-of-three getaway to Los Cabos was encapsulated in a delightful reel set to "Until I Found You" by Stephen Sanchez, as seen in the sweethearts' collaborative Instagram post. In the clip, the expecting mom showed off her impeccable pregnancy fashion sense wearing various dapper bikinis and other chic dresses.
Somewhere in the clip, fans saw the six-year-old with a wide grin and a tender moment where he rested his head on his mother's bare belly at the beach. Other parts focused on Maks playfully burying his son in the sand. He looked stylishly dressed, posing with his family and kissing his wife's baby bump.
The caption he excitedly wrote read, "Last vacay trip as a trio, and we had an amazing time! Can't wait to be back with our newest Chmerkovskiy ☀️🌴🍹 #takemeback #springbreak2023 #vacation."
The Former "DWTS" Contestant Spoke Candidly On Their IVF Journey
For Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd, the journey to adding another member to their family has been a complete mix of struggle and disappointment. However, speaking candidly to E! News, the 2004 World Masters Finalist revealed they were still hopeful for a second child.
Last year, after their first round of in-vitro fertilization proved unsuccessful for the lovers in August, the doting husband disclosed they were looking into other alternatives, like adoption, to welcome a new kid into their home. The dance instructor said they still want a more prominent family than we are. In his words:
"We are still going to continue attempts, and we'll see what happens, regardless of the fact we're going to have a bigger family, whether through adoption or whatever this may be."
