Disney appears to be breathing new life into one of their oldest attractions by launching a new line of products geared at bringing peace on Earth.
According to documents, obtained by The Blast, Disney filed 5 new trademark applications on November 15 for “IT’S A SMALL WORLD.”
The application notes that Disney plans on using the name for a ton of stuff, including lunch boxes, mugs, coolers, tea pots, bed linen, clothing, party bags, wallets and even temporary tattoos.
The attraction first debuted at the 1964 New York World’s Fair and soon after became a staple at Disneyland in Anaheim. It’s since been installed at every major Disney park, including the parks in Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong.
For those that have never experienced the ride, it brings guests on a water-based ride through different cultures around the world and featuring hundreds of audio-animatronic children singing the infamous “It’s a Small World” song in unison.
Disney has not yet announced when the new swag will be available, but with all the recent rebooting of their classic franchises, like “The Lion King” and “Jungle Cruise,” it’s not a surprise Mickey is banking on another nostalgic brand.
