Matty Healy Allegedly Ready To 'Move In' With Taylor Swift Amid Rumors Of An Album Collaboration

Matty Healy and Taylor Swift are reportedly moving in together. The duo, who were romantically linked earlier in the month, also have plans to work on Swift's new album. Reports have revealed that the 1975 frontman has shipped some of his equipment to New York, where Swift resides, and has informed his bandmates that he won't be physically available for a while.

On several occasions this month, Healy and Swift have been spotted hanging out together, sparking rumors that their relationship is not platonic. Swift was previously in a relationship with Joe Alwyn. The pair broke up in February over irreconcilable differences but are still amicable.

Per The Sun, Healy and Swift are set to become roomies, as the male singer-songwriter is reportedly making arrangements to join her in New York.

It appears that the move is inspired by plans for the duo to collaborate on writing Swift's next album, although specific details of the project are still unknown.

Healy has reportedly shipped some of the devices he uses in making music to Swift's house, including his guitar effect pedals, audio interfaces, synths, and MacBook Pro.

"He and Taylor are so loved up and want to spend as much time together as they can," a source said about the 1975 frontman's relationship with the "Anti-Hero hitmaker."

The source added, "Matty has already told the 1975 team that he'll be doing all the band demos in America for the foreseeable future. He will work on his parts for their collaboration while she is on tour and has scheduled time to attend select shows to gather inspiration for her next album."

The duo, who first met in 2014, recently sparked dating rumors earlier in the month after they were spotted attending one of Swift's shows in Nashville for her Eras Tour. They were also photographed holding hands at New York City's Casa Cipriani during an outing with a mutual friend.

An insider told People magazine then that the duo were "hanging out and having a good time," adding that their relationship was "not just platonic."

Healy also showed up for Swift's show in her hometown of Philadelphia on May 13 and spent some of the time at the location hanging out with the singer's dad, Scott. A few days later, he was pictured exiting the Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village in N.Y.C. with the Grammy Award winner.

"Taylor is happy. She's very focused on her tour but is enjoying hanging out with Matty when she is off," a source told People.

Before being linked to Healy, Swift was in a relationship with British actor Alwyn for six years, with the two collaborating on a couple of the singer's songs.

However, they broke up in February, shocking fans who had hoped they would one day walk down the aisle. According to a source, the pair decided that they "weren't the right fit for one another," a decision that was spurred by their "differences in their personalities." 

It was also reported that Alwyn wasn't comfortable with Swift's fame constantly spotlighting their relationship. "Joe has struggled with Taylor's level of fame and the attention from the public," said an insider about the duo, per People.

Despite their emotional split, Swift and Alwyn are still "friendly," suggesting that there are no grudges between the duo. 

"They are friendly. She doesn't have anything bad to say about Joe," said an insider, per People. "They just grew apart. Taylor is staying very focused on her tour right now."

Following the breakup, several Swifties speculated that Swift and Alwyn's "Champagne Problem" song gave hints to their split.

A fan speculated, "Just a theory…maybe it's a Champagne Problem kind of breakup? I mean, they've kept the relationship so private.. so probably Joe Alwyn proposed to Taylor Swift, but then Tay said no…" 

 "But Joe Alwyn tried to understand and tried to be okay with not getting married, but then over time, he got tired of trying and ended up giving up, hence the break up (?)."

The singer is currently focused on her Eras World Tour, where she recently brought out rapper Ice Spice to perform at the New Jersey MetLife Stadium. The duo collaborated on a remix of her hit song, "Karma."
