Among the new tracks featured on the "Midnights: Til Dawn" edition includes "You're Losing Me," which certainly isn't losing fans' attention!
The song features a bridge with the lyrics, "I wouldn't marry me either/A pathological people pleaser/Who only wanted you to see her."
"You're Losing Me" can be found exclusively on the CD edition sold at Swift's stops in East Rutherford, New Jersey, for now, but that hasn't stopped the track from circulating on the internet and Swifties from speculating about its lyrics: could it be a subtle snapshot into the end of her relationship with Joe Alwyn?
Swift Has Been Seen Stepping Out With The 1975 Frontman Matty Healy After Alwyn Breakup
After dating for six years, Alwyn, 32, and Swift reportedly ended their relationship weeks before it had been publicly announced.
Engagement rumors had swirled around the couple enough for Swift to address the subject in "Anti-Hero," the first single from "Midnights."
Months after the split was announced in April, Swift has been seen out publicly with Matt Healy multiple times.
The duo has been spotted with mutual friend Jack Antonoff on two notable occasions. The team has been seen getting close, with reports of being spotted kissing and cuddling publicly.
Swift recently alluded to being quite happy during a recent show on her 'Eras Tour.'
Earlier this month, she told a Boston audience, "It's insane. I feel like telling you that I don't know, that just... I've never been this happy in all aspects of my life ever before." (per The Blast)
According to one of our recent reports, Alwyn reportedly feels "heartbroken" by Swift's reported relationship, and he had also trusted Swift about their relationship status when she'd begun to collaborate with Healy during the final stretch of the former couple's relationship, per a report from the Daily Mail.
'Swifties' Wonder If 'You're Losing Me' Had Been About Alwyn

Swift is undoubtedly known for her countless breakup anthems and her penchant for revealing intricate details in lyrics. The 33-year-old wowed her fans with the release of "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)" as part of "Red (Taylor's Version)"s release in 2021. Swifties had been captivated by the additional telling verses in the song, initially released in 2012 and widely thought to be about Jake Gyllenhaal.
Neither Swift nor Alwyn has explicitly confirmed their spit. Still, many listeners think "You're Losing Me," billed as a "Vault Track" on the aforementioned new edition, might be a pretty solid confirmation.
"Everyone’s telling me how excited they are for my reaction to You’re Losing Me. Meanwhile, I’ve seen ONE lyric, and now I’m terrified to listen because it’s gonna break me," TikTok creator Steven Sullivan tweeted.
"you're losing me confirmed Joe could fight... but he didn't want to," a Swiftie tweeted, referring to a common Swiftie inside joke online.
"tell you whats sickening, it’s that the present tense of “you’relosingme” implies that this song was written while she was still with JJoe and is only seeing the day of light now… and to think he co-wrote exile, a song about not seeing the signs she’s giving oh no ohhhnoooooo," another wrote.
"Thinking again about Taylor choosing to perform Should've Said No and Better Man the day after a source close to Joe reported that he felt "distraught and slighted." It was so fitting, given the context of "You're Losing Me." A Swiftie shared.
Other Swifties shared different perspectives.
"Am I the only one NOT mad at Joe Alwyn??? If you look at the lyrics of You’re Losing Me, it just shows that the relationship ended up falling apart as some relationships do. Not every breakup has to have a villain and a hero; the relationship just ended; that’s all there is to it."
"well, this is just confirmation that hits differently, and you're losing me weren't on the original Midnight's release because they didn't fit the Joe timeline," another Swiftie tweeted.
"If you’re Losing Me is about Joe, then I don’t blame him or even Taylor. The relationship is in the sinking ship, but both of them may want to fight,, yet it won’t be the same anymore. It’s a sad song, and I wish both well," another shared.
