Adidas Will Continue To Sell Yeezys After The Restock?

This was the news of last week; after months of discussions and speculations, Adidas has taken a decision about their Yeezy stock. And without any surprise, they took the best one so they do not lose much money. They decided to sell all the remaining stock of Yeezys they have during the month of June.
This news was a surprise to some fans and a relief for others. However, this drop hides a lot more secrets than we think. And the first ones are hidden inside the drop itself, with the unexpected restock of the legendary Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black and other models. These restocks raise a simple question about Kanye West's brand.
What if Kanye West Never Got Cancelled?
"What if" scenarios are common in the cinema and TV industry these days. First, People will cite the Marvel show "What If," which tells us what would happen to some characters if they had made different decisions at a time. Well, this drop is a like a "what if" type of show, but for Kanye West.
Let's start with the Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black. What would happen if Kanye West never said antisemitic things and never got canceled? First of all, the Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate would have dropped for December 2022, a nice Christmas gift for sure. But that's not all, because if you remember well, the Yeezy Boost 350 Turtle Dove also dropped last year. So what would have been the next step? Well, for sure, a restock for the Yeezy Boost 350 Moonrock colorway but also the Oxford Tan colorway. Also, he would undoubtedly restock all the 750 models that are legendary.
This strategy would have been logical for Yeezy, who tried to become a brand that stays within years like the Jordan Brand. Why? Well, look at what Jordan Brand is doing right. They are releasing many old colorways like the first Jordan 1 Chicago, the first Jordan 2 Chicago, the Jordan 3 white cement, and soon a restock of the Air Jordan 4 Bred. This means the Jordan Brand knows they need to bring nostalgia to the OG fans every year while releasing new models. And Yeezy wanted to do the same strategy. So for sure, if Kanye West didn't get canceled, all of the models from 2015 and 2016 would have got a restock. And it is sad we'll never get one.
Now, what about the Yeezy Boost 350 V2? As you can see, a Zebra restock, and an Onyx colorway restock for the model are on the way. This means that year after year, Yeezy would have continued to restock all the best Yeezy 350 V2 models as they did with the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Beluga or the Black and Red and Oreo colorway. For the Foam Runner of the Side, things would have stayed the same with more and more colorways restocking and coming, making Yeezy a General Release brand through the years with still some models that would have been on the resale market. But these are not the only secrets this drop hides; we can almost say for sure that Adidas will continue to drop Yeezys, even after the stock is gone.
Yeezys Without The Yeezy Branding Are Real
When the announcement was made, something crazy happened in the sneakers industry; the hype came back in one second, with at least eight models of the restock already in the resell market. And when Adidas saw that, of course, they couldn't ignore that it was the first time since October and the disappearance of Yeezy that they had so much hype around their brand in the sneakers industry. And that's why we will certainly have new colorways for Yeezy models in the coming months. However, these will not be called Yeezys anymore.
But why did they wait until now? Because they first had to find a solution for the remaining stock before starting to create and fabricate new Yeezys. Imagine if the hype was gone and nobody cared about the restock, and they would have already fabricated new Yeezys; that would have been even more of a disaster for Adidas and their losses. But now that they saw that the hype for the shape is still there, they will definitely drop some new Yeezys. The first colorway set to drop is a beautiful Granite colorway, a gray Yeezy Boost 350 V2 without the rapper's branding. And if this one works, many more could come after that. However, these are leaks and rumors; we still need to wait for an official announcement from Adidas to be sure about that. But when we see how the leaks and rumors have been precise about the brand these last months, we can already say for sure that this will happen.
