Nick Jonas Slid Into Priyanka Chopra's DMs to Ask Her Out

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are gearing up to say "I do" and just days before the wedding, they're revealing secrets about their whirlwind romance, including how the actor slipped into his future wife's DMs.

The couple sat down with Vogue for a portion of Priyanka's cover interview and hilariously put everything about their relationship out on the table, like their first meeting and when Nick Jonas knew the actress was "the one."

Appearing on the January cover, the "Quantico" actress oozes glamour, displaying her diamond engagement ring while wearing an off the shoulder Balenciaga dress with matching red lip. She also wows appearing in a gold floor length Oscar de la Renta. And while there's no doubt Priyanka is a goddess, it's their back and forth banter that prove they're a match made in heaven.

The First Time They Met:

Nick Jonas spotted her at the Vanity Fair Oscars party — he was at the bar and saw her breezing through. “And I put my drink down,” Jonas says, “get on one knee—this is in front of a bunch of people—and I say, ‘You’re real. Where have you been all my life?’ Like, loud.”

He Asked Her Out on Twitter:

Nick chose to DM Priyanka to ask for a first date and she didn't like it. She told Vogue his message said, “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet."

She responded that day with a message that said, "My team can read this. Why don’t you just text me.”

When She Invited Him Upstairs:

After their Vanity Fair Oscars drinks, Priyanka invited him back to her place.

"There was a back pat,” the actress says. “She’s still upset about that," Nick chimes in before adding, "Your mom was in the house! I thought it was a respectful first night.”

“It was too respectful if you ask me," Priyanka counters.

Date Three Sealed Their Fate:

The duo went to the Dodgers game for date #3 and ended up sitting in the owner's box. Nick says that night he called his mom and said he was going to marry Priyanka.

The Proposal:

Nick got down on one knee (for the second time) in Crete, Greece. The romantic gesture took place the morning after Priyanka's 36th birthday. Displaying a Tiffany & Co. ring, Nick reveals it didn't go as smooth as he had pictured.

“I got down on one knee, again, and I said: Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?” he tells Vogue. “No joke—she took about 45 seconds. Forty-five seconds of silence.”

While Priyanka insists she was speechless, Jonas pressed on. “I’m going to put this ring on your finger now unless you have any objections.”

As The Blast has reported, Nick and Priyanka will wed this weekend at the last standing palace in India. They have already kicked off wedding festivities with family and friends with a traditional Puja ceremony yesterday.
