Rexha then shared that she recently saw a comment on a TikTok video about her weight gain. "Listen, we're in the public eye, so that's bound to happen," she said, per People magazine. "I was a lot thinner, and I did gain some weight — that comes with the territory. I'm not mad about it because it is true, but when you see things like that, it does mess with you."

She added, "You don't know what somebody's going through, what they're going through in their life, so it is tough. But I feel like we're in 2023 ... we should not be talking about people's weight."

And many women have it and don't know," Rexha said. "It's tough. I think I've been struggling with my weight, and I've been struggling with food forever."

She went on to detail when she first got signed and was asked by the label to go into "boot camp shape" because she "had to lose weight."
