Cardi B did not show up for a hearing today in Queens, NY and the judge in the case stated if she no-shows again … he’ll issue a warrant for her arrest.
The rapper was scheduled to be arraigned today on charges of assault and reckless endangerment following an incident where she was allegedly involved in a fight in a strip club.
According to the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, Cardi did not appear in court today and her arraignment was pushed back to Friday. Michael Blackmon of BuzzFeed News says that during the hearing today, the judge “urged Cardi’s lawyer to tell her about the importance of making court appearances.”
The judge added the court would seek a bench warrant for her arrest if she does not show for Friday’s hearing.
Back in August, two sisters claim they were attacked while working at the Angels strip club in New York City. The girls allege the fight was over an alleged sexual encounter with Cardi’s husband, Offset.
They claim someone from Cardi B’s entourage assaulted them by throwing bottles and chairs, and so they filed a lawsuit against the “Taki Taki” star for damages.
Cardi was booked at a Queens police station back in October.
