The news all Walt Disney World Annual Passholders have been waiting for!
The Walt Disney Company announced today that a temporary discount increase will be coming specifically for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders to select locations around the Disney Parks -- Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom -- as well as Disney's shopping and dining district -- Disney Springs -- for a limited time.
The announcement comes as part of the highly anticipated V.I.PASSHOLDER Days!
Temporary Discount Increase For Annual Passholders
From May 31 to June 30, 2023, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can enjoy 30% off merchandise at select locations -- this is an increase of 10% as the previous discount was 20% off.
Per Disney, "During this time, the Passholder merchandise discount at select Disney-owned and -operated merchandise locations across Walt Disney World Resort will temporarily increase from 20% to 30%.*" This is a huge savings boost for Disney's most loyal ticket holders.
Merchandise isn't the only thing that Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to save more money on as Disney also announced a discount increase for food and beverage locations throughout the Walt Disney World Parks. "Annual Passholders can enjoy an increase from 10% to 20% on discounts for food and nonalcoholic beverages at select locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort," Disney reported.
Their report also notes, "20% discount applies to the regular price of food and nonalcoholic beverages (excluding applicable tax and gratuity) from May 31 to June 30, 2023. May not be combined with any other offers or discounts. Operating hours, menu items and locations subject to closure or change without notice."

Theme Park Reservation System
When Walt Disney World reopened to Guests after temporarily shutting down due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the theme park implemented a new Park Pass system to help control crowds and to help monitor the number of Guests entering and leaving each day.
To enter a theme park at Walt Disney World — including Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, or Disney’s Hollywood Studios -- Guests must need a valid theme park ticket and a Park Pass reservation.
However, for those of you who are Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, you are now able to enter a theme park without a Park Pass reservation after 2 p.m. — with restrictions. Per Disney, "Passholders may visit a park after 2:00 PM without a theme park reservation––except when visiting Magic Kingdom park on Saturdays and Sundays."
Disney also stated, “Pass blackout dates will continue to apply like they do today. While the theme park reservation system remains important to manage attendance in our parks, especially on busier days, we realize our Passholders enjoy more spontaneous visits – and this change will make that possible.”
It is important to note that, at this time, if you are not an Annual Passholder and are a regular ticket holder, you still need a Park Pass reservation to enter a theme park at Walt Disney World.
