American Idol winner Samantha' Just Sam' Diaz is back to their roots, singing on subways to get by after winning blows up in their face.
Just Sam Needed To Get By
The performer known for winning season 18 of the popular singing competition show revealed that she is right back where she started before appearing on the FOX TV show. Diaz used to sing in subways and street corners to make it by.
Their spot-on American Idol kind of saved their life, so it is shocking that three years later, they are struggling to the point where they are back essentially begging for money on the street.
The 24-year-old Harlem native shared the news on her new social media channels, and while she initially felt "super embarrassed" about being in this position again, she had no other choice. They "legit needed the money," and not busking on the streets was longer "optional."
Just Sam Is Struggling To Digest All This
The realization has settled in with Sam that they had "fallen so low" since taking the win on Idol. It began when they struggled with an unknown illness last summer. Diaz shared on IG Story that "they had so much" more to reveal, "but there's not much that" they are "allowed to say."
The message continued. "I promise that I will say more very soon. For now, I will say thank you so much to everyone with my back. Thank you so much to the people who are showing me nothing but love and support. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE PATIENCE!!!! It's needed and appreciated."
Despite the drastic turn that Diaz's life has taken, they manage to speak positivity and share it with their followers. "I woke up to so much love I can't do anything but CRY LIKE A BABYYY & say THANK YOU to everyone see. Thank you so so much."
Sam Diaz Posting A Lot More
Seeing as they have a decent following on IG, they are utilizing that to gain attention, announce where they can be found singing that day, and even share some videos from their subway singing sessions.
Diaz said they usually don't post their CashApp they leave it up to those who want to donate to seek them out. Sam said this is because they already feel bad for asking others for help after winning such a large sum.
What Happened To The Money, Just Sam?
We are all dying to know what happened to the staggering $250k cash out she won,, the recording contract, and the mentorship. Diaz didn't share that information, but as they mentioned before, they had taken ill.
We could assume that the money went to hospital bills. Diaz left their followers with a kind message. "Watch How The Lord turns this whole thing around & watch me CONTINUE TO GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY! There are things that God is about to do for me that no one else can do or stop from happening. I have so much faith 11 !!"
