In an interview with People magazine, Madix shed light on how the months-long affair between her former partner, Tom Sandoval, and their "Vanderpump Rules" co-star, Raquel Leviss, has deeply impacted her perception of future relationships. Nevertheless, she remains hopeful that she can again find the strength to place her faith in someone new.
During the interview, while promoting her new collaboration with BIC EasyRinse razors, Madix stated, "When this first happened, I really thought, 'I don't know how I can trust anyone again."
She continued, "A friend of mine — about 10, 11 days after I found out — encouraged me not to lose that part of myself; to still see the good in people, and to trust people, and to be loyal to my friends and my relationships. And I was kind of like, 'Yeah, I don't know about that..."
"However," Madix added, "Her saying that, and hearing that from others too, has really helped me move forward. I'm getting there at my own pace."

In March, Madix, 37, discovered that her longtime partner of nine years, Sandoval, 40, had been involved in a secret affair with her best friend, Leviss. It seems Madix has found love again as she embarks on a new romance with Daniel Wai, a fitness instructor whom she met through mutual friends at a wedding in Mexico a mere ten days after "Scandoval" happened.
"He is very cute and just the kindest person," Madix shared in her interview with People. "I think that in so many ways, not just romantically, but professionally and on so many levels, it feels like a completely new and amazing energy right now."
During a recent appearance on "Today" with Hoda and Jenna, Madix expressed her surprise at finding herself in a new relationship, stating, "In no way, shape, or form did I go into that thinking anything," she said. "And I've just been taking things very, very, slow and really enjoying myself."
