UPDATE
7:10 AM — The hearing is over and Cardi was ordered not to have any contact with the alleged victims.
Cardi B had a busy Friday morning — she got nominated for five Grammys and she showed up to a courthouse in Queens for a hearing in her alleged assault trial.
The “I Like It” rapper was bundled up for the cold as she made her way into court on Friday morning. One photog asked how she felt about her Grammy/court doubleheader, to which she responded, “I feel owwwwww.”
The rapper is scheduled to be arraigned today on charges of assault and reckless endangerment following an incident where she was allegedly involved in a fight in a strip club.
She was supposed to be arraigned earlier this week but she failed to show up for court. The judge if she did not show up today, a warrant would be issued for her arrest.
Back in August, two sisters claim they were attacked while working at the Angels strip club in New York City. The girls allege the fight was over an alleged sexual encounter with Cardi’s ex, Offset.
They claim someone from Cardi B’s entourage assaulted them by throwing bottles and chairs, and so they filed a lawsuit against the “Taki Taki” star for damages.
Cardi was booked at a Queens police station back in October.
