Sarah Hyland appeared to be heading out of town following a trying week after the actress was hit with a torrent of criticism after the tragic death of her cousin.
The "Modern Family" star was seen near her home Friday in Los Angeles carrying some luggage, including a winter coat and a blanket. It's unclear where she's going, or if she's heading to Nebraska after her 14-year-old cousin was killed after being hit by a drunk driver.
As The Blast reported, Jeffrey Eggeling has been charged with homicide after a deadly crash sent her uncle to the hospital severely injured, and ejected her cousin, Trevor, from the car, resulting in his death.
Hyland took to social media and promoted a GoFundMe for her cousin, but after donating $1,000 was bullied online by those who thought she should have given more, and chastised her for appearing to look for handout. Her co-stars, like Ariel Winter & Sofia Vergara, also donated to the fund.
Hyland could not take the harassment during such a tragic time in her life, and told critics, "You guys finally did it. Your horrible negative ignorant words have broken me. Happy? Staying offline for a while."
