Candace Cameron Bure is setting the record straight about her relationship with fast food!
The Hollywood sensation is best known for her fantastic portrayal of D.J. Tanner in the beloved sitcom "Full House." Outside entertainment, the blonde beauty raises three wonderful children with her husband, Valeri Bure.
After allegedly suffering from poor eating habits in her early twenties, the California native developed a healthy lifestyle that excludes easy meals from her diet. However, some believe the actress's claims may be a bit overstretched.
Candace Cameron Bure Denies Allegations Of Cheating Her Healthy Diet In Resurfaced Picture
During a recent Instagram Story update, the Hallmark Channel star got candid about her food interests. The 47-year-old declared that outside her favorite spot, she had never eaten from another fast food joint in two decades.
"I haven't eaten fast food except for In-N-Out in 20 years," the TV personality announced in her post. "Some days, I wonder what a burger and fries are like from Mcdonalds' or Burger King or Wendy's or any of those other places I've never eaten at."
Although the "Fuller House" star was curious about the restaurants' greasy menus, the Young Artist Award nominee claimed her cravings could not overcome her dedication to a healthy lifestyle. In a second post, the mother-of-three noted she had no regrets.
"And no, I've never had Taco Bell or anything similar. I don't regret it. You can't convince me otherwise," the California beauty declared, showcasing her iron will. Despite her perceived commitment to good health, fans were suspicious of her impressive feats.
These eagle-eyed investigators rummaged through Bure's Instagram page, searching for proof of her two decades away from fast food joints. As expected, Internet detectives discovered a throwback picture from 2012, in which the "Christmas Town" star was spotted with takeout from Chick-fil-A.
The since-deleted picture captured the TV personality with one of her sons inside a car, posing with meals from the fast food joint. The young boy held a Chick-fil-A wrap while his mother flashed a smile with a drink in her hand. "We love chicken!" the 47-year-old captioned the snap.
This image seemingly contradicted the entertainer's claims of never eating at a fast food establishment except for In-N-Out in 20 years, so her followers immediately called her out for lying.
"Perhaps Candace Cameron Bure shouldn't say that she hasn't eaten fast food in 20 years because that's a blatant lie. She bought Chick Fil A in 2012," a disappointed person penned, echoing similar sentiments to many who attacked the actress using the picture as evidence.
Another disappointed fan declared, "What a weird thing to lie about, Candace." Contrary to the misleading post, the Teen Choice Award winner's representative explained that the situation was not as fans imagined.
"Candace took her son to eat at the restaurant. Candace does not eat fast food and only ordered an iced tea, which she is holding in the photo," the source claimed, adding that the narrative fans were peddling was "untrue" and "ridiculous."
The "Just The Way You Are" star's aversion to unhealthy meals sprang from her previous struggles with food. In her 2010 memoir, "Reshaping It All," Bure revealed she developed an eating disorder after "Full House" ended in 1995.
"I had a very unhealthy relationship with food that turned into bulimia," the mother-of-three confessed, explaining that she used to binge eat and then purge. After overcoming this phase, the media personality developed the healthy lifestyle she allegedly maintained to date.
The Compassion International Supporter Believed The 'Cancel Culture' Was Aimed At Christians
Bure cannot seem to catch a break from critics, as she previously slammed heads with fans over her beliefs. Last year, the California native made headlines by stating that her holiday movies would not involve gay couples.
Months after receiving backlash for allegedly not supporting the LGBTQ+ community, the "Monster Mash" actress defended her opinions on the "Unapologetic with Julia Jeffress Sadler" podcast. According to the 47-year-old, "Cancel culture" was a tool to keep Christians from "speaking their truths."
"Cancel culture is real, and it's difficult, and it's hard," Bure lamented, noting that people were being prosecuted for their beliefs. However, the "She Cried No" actress stated that her faith encouraged believers never to back down.
Perhaps this was why the entertainer confidently announced that the Great American Family's holiday movies would not include same-sex couples. In the viral 2022 interview, the TV personality said:
"I think that [the] Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core. My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them."
Bure also claimed that the Great American Family channel owners "were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment."
