Ex-NBA Star Kwame Brown Sues Baby Mama Over Custody of Their Three Daughters

Former NBA star Kwame Brown has slapped his baby mama with a lawsuit seeking joint custody of their three daughters.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Brown recently sued Jocelyn Vaughn asking for joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old, 11-year-old and 16-year-old girls.
Brown says he has provided "literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in support" to his ex over the years to support their kids and claims they even "lived together over the course of many years." Brown calls the allegations of not supporting his daughters "patently false."
As The Blast first reported, Vaughn sued Kwame Brown in September to establish paternity and seeking child support for their daughters. She claimed he was not supporting them financially.
In her lawsuit, Vaughn claimed the former NBA star has admitted being the biological father and even signed their children’s birth certificates. But she alleged that he has not assisted her financially for the costs of raising the kids.
Vaughn wants Brown to submit to a DNA test to establish him as the legal father.
She argued that Brown has enough money to pay monthly child support — despite never living up to the hype, Brown did earn over $60 million in his career — and wants the court to determine the amount. Vaughn also wants him to pay her legal bills in the case.
Kwame Brown told The Blast, “All of my daughters’ have my last name, and I was there to see all of them come into this world. I have taken care of my kids, including paying their tuition to their private school.”
He added, "In addition to paying their tuition, I also paid for all Jocelyn’s cars, A 650 BMW and a Denali SUV. I also paid the mortgage for the house my kids lived in. This is an attempt to embarrass me and try to collect money that isn’t owed to her."
Vaughn and Brown have not spoken much publicly about their long-term relationship but in 2002, articles reference him having recently moved his hometown girlfriend (aka Vaughn) into his house and talked about her providing him stability.
