Actress Rita Moreno might be 91, but she hasn't lost her sense of humor!
The "West Side Story" star caught up with "Moon Knight" star Oscar Isaac after a performance of his Broadway show and asked him if he was single... and into older women!
Rita Moreno Allegedly Asked Oscar Isaac If He Was Single and Into Older Women!
While his "Scenes From A Marriage" costar Jessica Chastain is earning Tony nominations for her play, "A Doll's House," Oscar Isaac is also making a splash on Broadway in “The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window.”
Rita Moreno reportedly attended a performance of the show last week, as she had originally played the female lead in its original run in 1964.
After the performance, she reportedly went to congratulate "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" actress Rachel Brosnahan for taking over her role over champagne in the lobby of the James Earl Jones Theatre.
And we’re told that after the show, she got cozy with the new production’s stars — “Star Wars” actor Oscar Isaac and the “Marvelous Mrs. Maisels” star Rachel Brosnahan — over champagne in the lobby of the James Earl Jones Theatre.
Sources told Page Six that Moreno gushed over Brosnahan's "red hot" and "carnal" chemistry with the "Star Wars" alum before she asked him if he was “single and into older women.”
Moreno reportedly teased Isaac a little, adding, “I have a thing for brooding actors. I dated Marlon Brando, you know.”
In response, Isaac supposedly quipped, "Brando's a very tough act to follow." In addition, the actor is already married with two children.
That being said, Rita Moreno did open up on a few of the shocking details of her relationship with Marlon Brando in an interview with Variety last year.
She explained that the two had met on the set of the 1954 Napoleon biopic “Désirée” when she was only 22.
"He was extraordinary in many, many ways, but he was a bad guy. He was a bad guy when it came to women. I was such a different person then. I had all the makings of a doormat," she said at the time.
“I could read him like a book and that’s why he loved me, and that’s why he mistreated me in so many ways," she added.
With Rita Moreno still going strong at 91, fans are wondering if she would consider starring alongside Oscar Isaac in another "Star Wars" film!
Will Oscar Isaac Return To A Galaxy Far, Far Away?
At Star Wars Celebration London, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy brought Daisy Ridley out on stage to reveal that the actress would be reprising her role as Rey for yet another movie set after the sequel trilogy.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly after the event, Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the new movie will take place approximately fifteen years after the events of 2019's "The Rise of Skywalker."
“As we move into the future space — this story is about 15 years outside of The Rise of Skywalker — obviously we realized post-war, post–First Order rise of the New Jedi Order, we left episode 9 with Rey making a commitment to Luke Skywalker that she would rebuild the Jedi Order,” Kennedy said.
“And so here we are — we’re ready to do that. And it took a lot of discussion because obviously we’ve been developing stories in different spaces, and television has been a big focus of our attention right now,” she continued. “But there’s still so much interest in what happens after The Rise of Skywalker. So we’re excited to be doing that.”
Although Rey is the only sequel trilogy character confirmed at this time, Kennedy did tease, “It’s entirely possible to see some people come back.”
That means it's entirely possible that Oscar Isaac might return to reprise his role as Resistance Pilot Poe Dameron, who has likely taken charge of the Resistance along with the help of John Boyega's Finn.
Last August, Isaac was asked in an interview if he would ever reprise his role in a galaxy far, far away. Isaac indicated that he would be "open" to the idea of returning, so long as there was a "good story" to tell.
